Randy Orton Suffers Concussion
Posted by Larry Csonka on 06.15.2011

Randy Orton did suffer a concussion while working in Madrid, Spain on Sunday. The concussion story they ran on Raw was a legit reason as to why he could not perform. WWE is still pushing that Orton will wrestle Sunday at the Capitol Punishment PPV, and while that would have been a given back in the day, wrestling seven days after a concussion is more questionable in 2011.

christian its time! faze 1 is complete. now do faze 2, cut the head off the viper. & watch him die slowly as you walk out with the championship!

tonight....is the night I've been waiting for

I've had a concussion before and it took me a good 10 days to get over it. This was as well just a mild concussion

Haha, this guy is made out of glass.

I did it. sorry randy.

This means the only worthwhile match on the Capitol Punishment card is gonna end like Sting/Jeff Hardy.

I think they may add a 3rd one in there. I know it can't happen however if they added CM punk it would be awesome

I did it for dah Rock.

If he has any sense of well being, he won't wrestle.

The real question is:

Why would you let a man wrestle with a bruise on their brain?

someone is getting their 'future endeavors' letter soon...

Dropping the title back to Christian in a quick & cheap match would be satisfying enough for Sunday and a way to keep this developing feud evolving.

Posted By: HBK's Smile (Guest)  on June 15, 2011 at 10:24 AM

Having said that, if Christian himself is the one who gave Orton the concussion, it feels wrong to reward him with the title because he injured the champ.

Posted By: HBK's Smile (Guest)  on June 15, 2011 at 10:25 AM

Hmm, I paid really good money to get a good seat at Capitol Punishment for no reason other than that one match...

Hahaha...oh WWE.

This just further proves that the WWE uses their talents like puppets & doesn't care about their health whatsoever just as long as they're available to bump around all year long, or else they're fired.

Randy would be better off in a real company such as Impact Wrestling where he would be treated like a human being and not just some disposable body.

He can't defend! Strip him of his title! And maybe those cute little briefs shorts that he wears while you're at it. ;)

Karma for probably going "Hey Vince, I'll only go to smackdown if you give me the title." in turn taking it from christian!

I'll go to the papers if I have to.

The sad part is that I'd agree, well with the first part lol!

WWE better not make Randy Orton wrestle on Sunday or at all until he he is medically cleared to wrestle. If I was Orton I flat out would refuse to wrestle or even take just one bump until an unbiased doctor cleared me to wrestle. I wouldn't even care if I got fired for it.

No amout of money is worth Randy Orton's health. The man has a concussion and it will heal when it heals, ppv or not.

win or lose, randy orton will be throwing up in a trash can after the match.

Only hairless pussies like you would mind a small concussion

Yay! Christian to win the vacant World Heavyweight Title on Sunday... and then he can drop the title back to Randy Borton on the Tuesday Smackdown tapings. Boo!

It's crazy for him to wrestle Sunday. I don't like the little punk but I don't want to see his career end due to injury.

Vince, you've got my number

Posted By: Paul Roma (Guest)  on June 15, 2011 at 01:30 PM

If they don't have him wrestle I'm sure he'll be ok. Like I said before Smackdown has too many heels for Christian to have been turned and now they need him back as a face. This is almost a sign. Hey I saw some hot chicks rooting for him too so that means its more than just nerds on his side.

Aren't you the same afterbirth who made fun of Edge for retiring for his own health?

As for TNA's alleged health care plan, I just have one word in response. Daffney. Explain that one, you unbelievable retard.

Too true. From my own personal experience I can say even mild amounts of exercise following a concussion made me hurl. Whether it was the big one I had or a smaller one I couldn't do anything more than a short brisk walk without feeling sick.

It always make me laugh how rediculously retarded most of you are. Half of you assclowns are calling him made out of glass and weak, the other half are calling WWE out on making him wrestle.Ok lets clear it up for you TNA marks and you know that's what you trolls are especially latex and you are just an idiot.WWE actually wouldn't let Randy wrestle if it is unsafe for him to do so,now in precious TNA they had a stoned Jeff Hardy actually try to compete on a PPV main event, and they let RVD wrestle stoned every single night he does actually wrestle, hence why he knocked Abyss's teeth out,so don't try calling WWE out on forcing talent to work when they are injured because they clearly don't,not to mention that they actually have a wellness policy unlike TNA. WWE may no be perfect and have a demanding schedule but they work a much safer pace than other companies in the ring and don't let talent compete if they are seriously injured.

Boring.

Posted By: Guest#7189 (Guest)  on June 15, 2011 at 06:27 PM

I'd book it like this...

They announce at the start of the PPV, or right before, that doctors haven't cleared Orton and they are stripping him of the championship. At Capitol Punishment, it will be Christian v. Sheamus in a No DQ match. They go for 25 minutes beating the living hell out of one another, and finally both get knocked out from a big move. The ref counts to 10 and it's a no contest.

Then on Smackdown, Teddy Long declares that the winner of the Smackdown MITB will be the new champion. Christian wins MITB, thus being a 2 time champion (and winning both titles in a ladder match) setting up Orton/Christian one last time at Summerslam.

Concussions happen in wrestling all the time, but this one doesn't appear to be that serious so Mr. Orton will be fine.

I'm convinced you've invented some kind of automatic IWC trolling comment program. You should really try to make some money off that.
