Randy Orton did an interesting interview with KUPD in Phoenix that is definitely worth listening to. He covered a number of topics, including:
*He said that he misses Chris Jericho and that he was a locker room leader. He said he will help guys with matches but isn't exactly a counselor.
*Past drug usage. He said he stopped breathing from one incident about five years ago. His wife had to call 911 and that saved his life. He will cover it on his DVD.
*He had hear with The Rock before WrestleMania after he said in an interview that he didn't believe Rock when he said he would never leave WWE again. Orton said that John Laurinaitis pulled him aside and said that Vince McMahon didn't like what Orton said. Orton said that Rock had called the company to complain about Orton burying him and HHH in an interview. Orton thinks Rock mentioned HHH to get some weight behind the heat.
*He noted that he has had six concussions and the one he suffered in Spain a few weeks ago was really bad. Since he has had so many of them WWE management was concerned.
*On the other hand, he loves John Cena and says he is by far the best in WWE on the mic, better than Rock even. He didn't claim that Cena was a great in-ring worker but said he was the best on promos.
*He laughed about WWE having women that were bad actresses playing his wife in skits.

Orton puts over John Cena as a great talker, but a suspect wrestler. He also buries Mark Henry and Great Khali for their in ring skills. The interview is shocking at times with how candid Orton is. He's very laid back and shooting from the hip, and it leads to a couple of "Did he really just say that?" moments.

Seriously guys, how can you have shit to say about this interview? Orton just revealed tons of insider stuff, gave a candid interview and basically showed why everyone in the business says the WWE holds him back. He was cracking jokes and showing that he has a sense of humour, endearing him to the public, y'know the public who aren't buying PPV's and aren't watching TV anywhere near the level they used to. Beacause wreslers cant get across their real personalities and therefore the mass public cannot relate to them.
Look at what the CM Punk promo has done publicity wise for the WWE, he showed real emotion and stirred the pot and got people to care. Punk was right, Vince surrounds himself with idiots and i think he has finally realised he could damn well be a billionaire again with the talent that he posesses in the WWE and is allowing not just Punk, but the people who can actually engage with the audience while bringing out their own unique personality to actually do so. I can almost guarantee that Randle was merely ribbing a few people there and was all jokes. calm down peeps! Things are about to change

In all honesty, I've seen Orton deliver some superb promos. Particularly, when his persona is at that "I'm-truly-disturbed-but-playing-it-cool" point.

Whiie I like Orton's work he's miles off about Cena, his promo's are forced, cheesy & over-written. Plenty of better talkers in WWE, including Punk, Miz, Christian & even Orton himself (not to mention people like Booker, Piper, Vince, Austin & Rock when they pop in every so often).

Rock is the best at one-liners and talking shit on the mic, but there is no substance to what he is saying really in reference to a match. Ever heard a Rock promo where he actually took it seriously and tried to put over his opponent?
Not that I'm saying Cena is great, or even better than Rock. He's really god damn annoying on the mic and really hard to believe with his goofy/serious switching. It's just bad acting. His seriously malicious promo's are believable though, like any one he cut against Edge. That's more than I can say for Rocky.
