Randy Orton Campaigns For Arn Anderson in Hall of Fame
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 07.03.2011

- Randy Orton Tweeted the following last night:

If Arn Anderson isn't in the HOF next year I'll go on strike. Well maybe not go on strike, but damn it, he's earned it. Anyone else agree? He has tutored me thru out my career and speaking of the punt, his idea 100%

Arn Anderson over Randy Savage, Bruno Sammartino, Ultimate Warrior, YES!!!!
One of the most biggest and influential superstars in history, practically carried the WWE over his shoulders throughout the 1980's, and 1990's.
Without him, WWE would not be where it is right now.
Greatest superstar to walk the Earth in history.
He can turn piss into wine.

Arn Deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame easily BUT Slick Ric is the only one to induct him.

Posted By: Guest 5150 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 11:35 AM

Oh yeah, well Kelly will campaign for Trish Stratus to be inducted like she deserves.

Arn Anderson is one of the 10 greatest wrestlers of all time. That's the only thing i have to say...

Posted By: the16th6toothson (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 11:40 AM

First he outs Slutty Slutty and now he's threatening to strike?

How can Christian NOT win the World Title at MitB?

Posted By: Guest#4353 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 11:45 AM

Yes. Definitely. One of the best non world champions ever.

Posted By: Ryan Haseldine (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 11:47 AM

Too bad he's not serious about it, as it would be win-win :)

Posted By: Michael L (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 11:49 AM

I agree. Double A for HOF

After that we would just need Barry, Tully, and Ole (oh and JJ Dillon)

Posted By: Stanton75 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:03 PM

flairs still in tna.

Posted By: Guest#2060 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:06 PM

But Randy, did you apologise to Kelly Kelly for calling her a slut.

Posted By: Rob van Dam (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:15 PM

I agree, Double AA has been snubbed too many times, 2012 is the year he should be introduced with The Rock

Posted By: Drew (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:19 PM

Shouldn't he be calling a girl a whole somewhere?

Posted By: Person (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:22 PM

Oh wow, Randy Orton wants A.A. in the hall of fame, and all of a sudden this is news? Everybody wants A.A. in the hall, no shit.

Posted By: Guest#2807 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:23 PM

We want Double A! Clap! Clap! ClapClapClap!

Posted By: WWE HOF (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:28 PM

Maybe he should go to the papers...

Posted By: Guest#0559 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:29 PM

They're letting people in the HOF now for making a career out of carrying Ric Flairs bags?

Posted By: TNAFAN (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:37 PM

If Arn is the reason Orton does that stupid "Ive got to shit" dance before he does his punt or RKO then that should get AA BANNED from any HoF.

Posted By: Guest#1384 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:40 PM

Him and Fit Finley.

Posted By: Guest#7847 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 12:47 PM

the only reason arn isnt in the HOF is due to flair being in tna. he is the only appropriate choice to induct him.

i dont doubt for a minute, if flair ever leaves tna. double gets inducted.

Arn should have been in the same time as Flair!!!!!!!

Come on, Piper, Orton, Shiek, Volkoff, Hogan all the same time. They could have done Arn by himself or Arn and Tully.

Posted By: Lord Keedik (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 01:17 PM

Should've gone in the same year as Flair.

Posted By: Ocelot (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 01:23 PM

Without Arn there would be no Ric Flair, I mean that. No one else could have played as convincing a wingman without letting ego get in the way for all those years. Greatest wrestler to ever not wear a major world title.

Posted By: Guest#4740 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 01:30 PM

I agree. Arn Anderson belongs in the HOF.

Posted By: Guest#0376 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 01:34 PM

Most egregious omission outside of Savage and Sammartino.

Posted By: Jed (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 01:54 PM

I miss "Double A" Arn Anderson on my television. He was a great promo guy and pretty damn good in inside the ring too.

Tully and Arn in the same class.

Posted By: Kelly Kelly lover (Guest) on July 03, 2011 at 11:37 AM

Yes, let's induct somebody in their mid 30s that "retired" after an epic 6 years in the business. That's real dedication. Maybe we can put Warrior, Goldberg, and Lesnar in the same class with her, plus Snooki as the celebrity induction.

But, it's only the WWE HOF, so...

The punt is dumb.

Posted By: Guest#2314 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 03:00 PM

Arn Anderson retired because he's afraid of me!

Posted By: Daniel Tosh (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 03:07 PM

Long overdue!!! I have a feeling the HOF class next year will be The Rock, Randy Savage, Fabulous Freebirds, Arn Anderson, Miss Elizabeth, Ron Simmons, Barry Windham... & some celebrity that isn't Mr. T. Mike Tyson? The next year will be Edge, Trish, a whole Canadian theme.

Posted By: Tim (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 03:16 PM

Seriously the WWE needs to put some Horsemen in the Hall of Fame, only having two is a crime

Arn Anderson (1986–1988, 1990–1999)
Ole Anderson (1986–1987; 1990; 1993)
Tully Blanchard (1986–1988)
James J. Dillon (1986–1989)
Lex Luger (1987)
Barry Windham (1988–1989; 1990–1991)
Sting (1989–1990)
Sid Vicious (1990–1991)
Brian Pillman (1995–1996)
Dean Malenko (1998–1999)

Posted By: Guest#0867 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 03:20 PM

1. Double A doesn't just deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, dammitt, he's EARNED the right to be in it! 2. Everybody already knew Double K was "the blonde Lita". 3. Even if he drops the belt to "Edge's Shadow", somebody will "pull a Kane" (the MitB winner will cash in the briefcase and win the title after the match).

Perhaps you should keep your mouth shut when you (apparently) don't know anything.

He was part of the definitive 4 Horseman Line-up (he came up with the 4 Horseman name) and multiple time NWA/WCW Tag Team Champion and TV Champion.

As half of the Brain Busters he was Tag Team Champion in WWF and wrestled stellar matches with Shawn Michaels (who is on record as saying he learnt a lot from Anderson).

Back to WCW where he held the TV title for six freaking months.

He definitely should be in the Hall of Fame and kudos for to Orton for speaking up for him.

Arn shouldve been in the HOF last year instead they chose turds like Bullet Bob, Abdullah, and Drew Carrey. 2012 is a must along with Randy Savage and The Rock

CM Punk and christian fans are the only ones I know of that would probably fuck one of them instead of a hot girl lol. Even though i'm not a christian fan I hope he wins just so that the pissing/moaning ends. Anyway Arn anderson should go into the HOF

I used to love when he'd get knocked on the head and then do his comedic bit of blindly throwing his fists in the air and then falling backwards

Posted By: Guest#4272 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 04:24 PM

What did Arn Anderson ever do that didn't involve Ric Flair other than that feud with Dustin Rhodes and teaming with Paul Roma?

Posted By: Tom (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 05:03 PM

Speaking of the punt? I don't see where he was speaking of it. But Double A deserves to be in the hall, they should induct the Horsemen as a stable.

Posted By: Guest#5174 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 05:08 PM

Arn should've been inducted this year in Atlanta. Considering he spent so much of his career in WCW it would've made sense.

Posted By: abwiz74 (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 05:10 PM

Fully agree with Orton this one.
The fact that Double-A isn't in the HoF is an absolute disgrace. Tully Blanchard should be in as well, this may sound like blasphemy to some but I'd say Tully was a better heel that Flair (who I consider the best all-round performer ever).

A lot of people claim the best moment of WrestleMania X8 was the Rock/Hogan match. Those people are wrong. The best moment of WrestleMania X8 was Double A's run-in during the Taker/Flair match and his picture-perfect SPINEBUSTER on the Dead Man.

Posted By: neverAcquiesce (Guest)  on July 03, 2011 at 05:44 PM

Anybody who does not think Arn Anderson belongs in the Hall of Fame has obviously never seen him wrestle, seen his promo work or watched him do all the heavy lifting for the famed 4 HORSEMAN people revere so greatly. By the way, I don't thinka huge body of work, "carrying the WWE to greatness" is exactly a requirement for entry into the Hall, judging by some who are already there. AA was one of the very best and he and Tully Blanchard were one of the greatest hell tag teams of all time. Not a huge fan of Orton, but he is absolutely right about this.

Yo could have Savage headline and Arn as an extra inductee...

The absolute best "Ric Flair's Bitch" of all-time!!!!
I would definitely induct him before David Flair or Fifi.
No one carried Ric's bags or shined Ric's shoes better than Double A!
His foot rubbing skills on Ric Flairm after his matches were nothing short of miraculous. For being the #1 stick of gum under Ric Flair's shoe, no one deserves it more.

You forgot Paul Roma, Mong, and that guy that cannot be named.
I think AA should of gotten in Atlanta too, but now with all this Orton's punt creation he should be moved to the Island of Future Endeavors.
