TNA News: Last Night’s Attendance, Details on Who Was Backstage, More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.26.2011
How did things go last night?
- Ric Flair, Crimson and Madison Rayne were the only members of the TNA roster not in attendance at last night's TNA tapings.
- Attendance was said to be between 3,000-3,500, which was much higher than expected. Early estimates thought the attendance would be around 2,000.
- There was concern about the crowd staying hot through out the entire taping, since they were taping two episodes. Word is that the crowd was hot all night, through the end of the second show.
- Reports say that Jeff Hardy was in good spirits last night.
- Jason Hervey and Dixie Carter were backstage.
- Aleta Ennis, who handled marketing and publicity for the company in the Orlando area, is no longer with the copany.
the big issue is how many fans bought a ticket. if tna sold 800 tickets and everyone else got in free, then spoike tv and tna lost money due to renting the arena, travel expenses etc.

Sounds good for TNA. I was a fan of heel Hardy. We come on here and ridicule the guy a lot (deservedly so) but his latest heel run was very Pillman-esque in that it blurred the lines of reality and kayfabe. His dark promos, his look, the turn itself, it really worked and when he was on his A game he was incredible.

Here's hoping that was mostly paid attendance...

Most people got their TNA tickets through Intertoys. So they bought a $10 action figure and got a FREE ticket to the show.

I can't wait for my big feud with my doofus older brother, Wayne at Bound for Glory-Hole in October.

How funny is this. Turns out to be a good show with MORE people than expected and they were hot all night.

Spike loses nothing, as they do not own, operate, or run Impact Wrestling. They have a contract for a certain amount of regularly aired shows. The loss would be to IW.

Some leaving the company = company going out of business. Isn't that right, TNA marks?
