Details Revealed on Jeff Hardy's Drug Case

Received painkillers in a coffee can…
- New details have emerged following Jeff Hardy's plea deal yesterday about the circumstances around the case. The Fayetteville Observer reports that Hardy met with a fan in Florida named Thomas Ray Cruz in September 2009. Cruz offered to supply Hardy with painkillers and Hardy accepted, having turned to painkillers to deal with the effects of his in-ring style.
Cruz sent a Maxwell's coffee can with 262 hydrocodone in it to Hardy via the mail. The post office determined that it was suspicious and opened it. They contacted the police who closed it and allowed to be delivered. Once Hardy signed for the package, police raided his home and found the other drugs.
Cruz was arrested in November, 2010 on charges of conspiracy to traffic in opium and two counts of trafficking in opium. He has a court date for November and is currently out on $50,000 bond.
ROFLCOPTER! What a dumbass Hardy is! You're a freaking millionare, you can afford to hire a mule to pick your shit up for you! "Uhh, yeah bro, I'll totally sign for this random coffee can I got sent in the mail! Totally!"

So, Hardy sent this guy down the river, huh? He's probably not a fan now.
Speaking of fans, it should be pointed out that being a spot monkey leads to drug abuse and spot monkey fans should think twice about who they cheer and why.

Really? I thought the cops raided his house because they saw all of those CM Punk promos on Smackdown during the Punk Hardy feud.

I'll always check my coffee can when I buy it now.

Damn 5-0 set up Hardy good when they let the painkillers be delivered to then raided his crib.

What's suspicious about shipping coffee cans? The US Postal Service is clearly violating the privacy of it's users. Throwing people in jail doesn't cure them from pain killer addiction. Ron Paul better become president quick before we all end up in jail

painkillers in a coffee can? very southern.
Posted By: seandroid (Guest) on September 09, 2011 at 07:17 PM
Through the US Post?! Really? So Hardy's not just a felon, he's a STUPID felon. How the mighty have fallen. Sad to see.

Dumb on Hardy's part. The US Postal Service x-ray/scans and inspects all of it's packages for safety as required by LAW based from 9/11. So you are the dumbass for posting a dumbass comment...dumbass.

A Floridian you don't say? What a fucking surprise. From that state that leads the nation in faux pain clinics that dole out prescription opiates wit near impunity. So shipping painkillers in a coffee can really shouldn't surprise anyone. That Hardy is that fucked up to accept it is no less a surprise.
Your next TNA Champion!

Years of mental anguish and torment. An artist split in two by his demons. I will end this conflict with my steel glove of the chosen. Jeff Hardy will scream no more. Big tits.

Jesus, this is crazy. NONE of you will believe this, and I don't care :-) I met Jeff Hardy in May 2008 in Raleigh, North Carolina at an amateur MMA event at a stadium. I was in complete awe and shock. Jeff was extremely polite, and chatted with me for a good 20 minutes about professional wrestling and a little bit about his personal life. We got to talking about prescription meds (because I myself am an addict) and he talked about how much pain his body was in due to wrestling 300+ days a year. At the time I was on methadone recovering from opiate addiction. Sure enough, to make a long story short...he supplied me with cash for my presription pills. Good money too :-) After battling heroin addiction for 11 years, I've been clean now for 7 LONG months...cold turkey...and life is beautiful. Good luck to you, Jeff!
P.S. I also met The Hurricane Gregory Helms that night, who was a COMPLETE DOUCH BAG!!!

It was "a" coffee can, and it depends on how it was detected - if it was run through some X-ray machine, they probably thought that it could be a bomb of some sort (and if they shook it and the pills rattled inside the can, they knew it wasn't coffee).

So Cruz paid to have a package of drugs signed for? Stupid! Jeff Hardy actually signed for it? Stupid. Never sign for anything delivered. Claim you dont know what it is and dont accept it. F*ck the law and their lame ass tricks.

Total WWE set up, if anyone remembers this was when he was refusing to sign a contract with WWE. So they basically used his addiction against him and set him up.
this revelation confirms what I thought when it happened, that WWE ratted him out.

That would be a "guilty"-plea deal he just entered, numb-nuts. So yes, by definition, he can now be called "guilty."

lol at the douche who touted the invasion of privacy by the USPS as legit because of "9/11" inspired "LAW". Come on fella, wake up and smell the coffee. But anyways, it's not like Jeff Hardy was trying to get his hands on hallucinogens or dope, the man was trying to cope with the crippling pain in his body. He shouldn't be jailed, he should be helped by a medical community that can rehabilitate his physical health. I swear, there are some heartless nazi's on this board sometimes. Ignorant even for a wrestling fan.

Didn't he just say last week that SummerSlam was his official closure for now and that he didn't want to be showing up all the time so soon after retiring?
Posted By: Guest#5466 (Guest) on September 10, 2011 at 12:33 AM
Did you miss the part where Jeff plead guilty? Yes? Well, Jeff plead guilty. As in NOT innocent.
Posted By: Guest#9420 (Guest) on September 10, 2011 at 06:33 AM
It doesn't surprise me that with Hardy's style he's got a problem with painkillers. I'm not saying it's something you should let him off for but being addicted to painkillers when you put your body through that much isn't as hard to understand as all the other stuff.
I often wondered why Hardy hadn't been injured more often with the style he worked, I guess this explains it.

And of course yeah who sends someone a fucking can of coffee? It's bound to look suspicious anyway, what the guy can't buy some everyday brand coffee from many places. Who wouldn't be suspicious about someone sending a can of coffee for fucks sake.
