This looks like one of the few dvds I will watch again and again. These two really were the best of five (Flair, Sting and Vader rounded out this number) at that time when not a lot was really significant about the business when you compare it to the later part of that decade.

Weren't they going to release a Rock/Austin DVD like this as well?

The Survivor Series match they had is Blu-Ray exclusive? I have a PS3, but even I think thats a douche move. Whatever.

There'd better include the DX vs midget Bret segment!

So has *every* WWE release since "True Story of Wrestlemania" had Blu-Ray exclusives? (Except possibly the Monday Nitro set). I'd like to update my wishlist to avoid these.

Ha ha, SS 97 is only for Blue Ray. I'm not going to buy it just to say fuck you for that.

If you have the capability to buy Blu-Ray (and let's be honest, there's really no reason you shouldn't at this stage of the game) then why would you only buy the DVD-version anyway?

People were making the same argument 10 years ago when they were still releasing VHS tapes while the DVD's had bonus material.

All these matches but two are available on Shawn DVDs and Coliseum Video releases (that can be found for free download pretty easily). That's a bit disappointing, but this should be awesome regardless.

Lep, where you been? It's been a good minute since you've been on the boards. You can't let these upstarts upstage you. Nice to see you back.

Actually the reason to keep buying the dvd version is because like some of the classic films they look like shit on blu-ray

I can imagine that they will cover this a great deal in the main disc...probably wont be missing much of the match that way.

So, anything interesting happen between 1996 and 2006? Anything in 1997, perhaps? The whole damn rivalry came to a head in Montreal and they don't even put that match? Oh well, at least I'll get a couple Marty Jannetty matches on there.

You do realize that except for promos, the Summerslam match which Shawn reffed, and the Montreal incident, they were never in the ring at the same time right? It's not like they wrestled in tag matches against each other all throughout 97...
