Various Wrestlers Appearing to Support Gregory Helms
Posted by George H. Sirois on 10.01.2011

Mick Foley and Edge are expected to appear at a special comedy event at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is meant to benefit former WWE star Gregory Helms, raising money to help him with medical costs following his motorcycle wreck several months ago.

Foley will be doing his stand-up comedy show and if his schedule permits, Ric Flair will be there as well.

For more details on the benefit, please go here.

You want people to laugh? Just play Matt Hardy's youtube channel on a loop.

Ric Falir will ask for thousands of dollars, get paid, and then no show.

Karma is a motherfucker no one should give this loser a dime. He'll spend it on booze anyway so your giving him money so he can live a nice life style and get fucked up

Who woulda thought Helms was so well thought of.

Must have been the time he stood up to Bagwell that earned him some respect cause it isnt for hanging with the Hardys.

you people have to have benefit shows to pay for hospital treatment, what are you a third world nation? wasnt this guy in a highly paid wrestling job for years too?

And your new TNA world...Oh sorry too soon I guess.

Sure, let's raise funds so the guy can get back in shape, then get his ass drunk, have another accident while intoxicated, and just blame the whole thing on Shawn Michaels.

Mick and Edge are disappointing me a LOT here. They lost SEVERAL points with me, and THAT is a big deal.

why the hell would I pay to go to a comedy event to support an idiot who got a DUI and almost killed himself and his girlfriend?

Zero Sympathy and ZERO support

When I heard the words "comedy" and "wrestling" together, I wondered if TNA was going to be doing a benefit for Helms.

Awesome of Edge and Foley, better watch that Flair doesn't steal some money for his alimonies

Posted By: Bill (Guest)  on October 01, 2011 at 02:41 PM

so, let me get this straight. a guy that was easily making a 6 figure salary for almost a decade now needs people that make a fraction of what he made at his job, surrender their hard earned money because he didnt save his own money? would he give me money if i needed it for medical bills? i think not. wealthy pro wrestlers that blew their wealthy on fancy things and drugs dont need to be seen as charity cases and therefore, not given benefits in their honor.

Betcha Flair demands to be paid. WHOOOOOOO!!!

I wish helms the best but I kinda find it a little funny that he was one of the ones rallying against Obama's healthcare plan on twitter and now he's begging people for money to pay his medical bills. Not so much funny as sad that uninformed rednecks are bullshitted into voting against their own self interest.

LOL Shane Helms is poor! Get a job buddy if you cant afford to pay your bills

Posted By: Jose (Guest)  on October 01, 2011 at 04:05 PM

So this moron gets drunk, causes accidents, and people are helping him out? Fuck Shane Helms.

it would be REAL shocking if HBK attended this and instead of burying Helms, tried to help him out.

just a thought.

What the hell, I'll kick in a few bucks.

Posted By: HBK (Guest)  on October 01, 2011 at 11:39 PM

Wow, I must've missed this one. Really I didn't hear he DUI'd. I guess before he got on that bike he was at the bar telling his liver to "stand back, there's a hurricane coming through."

we are barely even third world these days, e.g. the last remaining backward nations without maternity leave? Lesotho, Papua New Guinea,Swaziland and...The United States

It wouldn't be a shock, only to those who still have it in for a guy who's now RETIRED smh! I mean the man is no longer wrestling and folks still hold on to "who shot John" type of stuff with him, pleeeeaaase. Yeah he isn't NO saint by no means, but not the same man he was YEARS ago. No I'm not talking about Helms either lol and besides he himself deserves pity if anything. He isn't worth being mad at, and neither are any of them for that matter.

SolidCplus is right and 7952, it's a big deal to YOU lmao, I guess, but you're right at first; yep too sad when you somehow don't have money to pay for med bills (after having a nice paying job) and you got a guy coming that doesn't apparently like to save his money either(though it's nice of him to show up, still you all know exactly who I'm talking about).... whatever
