Randy Orton No Longer BItter Towards The Rock
Posted by Chad Webb on 11.22.2011
He even hints at wanting a match with him....
- WWE's Randy Orton has said he is not bitter towards The Rock anymore. He had said that he was not buying The Rock's return speech about never leaving WWE again. He spoke to Steven Muehlhausen of Sportstown Chicago and said he would even like a match with him:
"As far as The Rock and myself are concerned, you know I'd love to see that, are you kidding me? That's huge. Right now, the WWE Universe is geared to see Rock-Cena at WrestleMania 28. And, to be honest, I caught a little bit of the buzz too. We all want to see it. The crowd is ecstatic. When he comes out, there's nothing quite like it, it really is. Sure, I hate that the guy is back. I wish I was in his spot working with Cena at WrestleMania 28. Yea, I'm happy that Rock's back. I'm over the bitterness (laughs) so to speak with him being back saying he never left and all that b.s."
Whaaa! Stop your cryin' Orton. You've had WAAAAAYY too many matches with John Cena already. Orton's ego is bigger than the Rock's I swear...

This guy isn't even #2 on the current roster right now (although he is shit, to be sure). Have fun putting over Mark Henry and Wade Barrett, you overrated bitch.

Guy has a point. Also, I like how everyone is shitting on the guys that complain about The Rock. Is Orton not allowed to have his own opinion? Should he blindly suck Rock's dick like everyone else? You act like every wrestler would leave the business the first chance a higher paid gig came along. I think the ones that truly love pro-wrestling wouldnt. I honestly always thought Rock was pressured into wrestling by his family history. He was desperate to make it in football and left the business first chance he got. That doesnt mean I hate him or wasnt a fan of him but I dont obsessivly love him like some.

Fair enough. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but if you're cool with Punk, Cena, & Orton being worried about their spots and bitching that Rock left and isn't on the road, then you have to be cool with the other business realities that most fans shit on.
Such as:
Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, HHH, Kevin Nash, and any other wrestler I'm forgetting was absolutely justified in using politics to stay on top and bury any threats to their spot.
And Vince McMahon was right to tank the WCW invasion because of the salary structure/locker room ego concerns.
Vince (like Punk, Cena, and Orton) was right to ignore the opportunity to utilize new talent (Rock, WCW) to expand the business. Vince, Punk, Cena, and Orton were spot on by ignoring the possibility that if the business grows then they could make more money being the 3rd match on the card with Rock on top than they were when they were on top without Rock.
I'm not being sarcastic either. 411 would be a lot more enjoyable if more people treated wrestling like the business it is, rather than the sport it is not.

I was in a match with Randy Orton? At Wrestlemania? Cool, I guess. Did I win? --oh, excuse me a minute, I have a billion more important things to do...

Randy Orton wants a match with The Rock...and he'll go to the papers if he has to.
Posted By: baker (Guest) on November 22, 2011 at 10:29 PM
It's a shame that people give Rock shit for having aspirations outside of wrestling. It's like wrestling owns you once you become a star "because" of wrestling. The rock don't need wrestling. he can make a shit ton more money doing bad and good movies...
he came back cause he wanted to. when brock comes crawling back will people give him shit too?

Excellent comment.
The fact is that most of the people who are shitting on Orton for him daring to express his opinions about the Rock, are the same ones who were shitting on the Rock and calling him a sell out 18 months ago.
My only disappointment with the Rock is that he, in his time off, hasn't discovered a single new promo.
Rock: Insult, imply the person I am cutting promo on is homosexual, Twitter, insult, Twitter, catch phrase.
(Ironically, only a few have pointed out that both the Rock and Cena cut the same damned promo every time as well, but let's not dwell on that.)
I, for one, was one of the people who didn't think the Rock would ever wrestle again.
His (very) brief appearance at SurSer proved me wrong, and that is ok.
It is ok to be wrong.
But yea, most of the people on this site tonguing the Rock's ballsack now aren't really fans, they are just sheep who feast off what the WWE is feeding them, but have no idea that they are doing it.

When Rock hears that Orton was bitter towards him he's liable to shit in Orton's gym bag.
Posted By: Zingy (Guest) on November 22, 2011 at 10:48 PM
Wrestling is business. The Rock being so over with the fans and basically the biggest draw in the company has a way to make bitterness disappear, I guess. Orton knows when his bread is buttered.

95% of internet fans are fucking retarded. They get on these wrestlers for leaving and "selling out" and bitch once they return. They'll never be happy about anything, which is why Vince has never given a shit about what they want(especially since they are a small fraction of the fan base).

You make some great, thoughtful points here. Minor thing - wouldn't embracing the things you said be treating wrestling like a sport and not a business? Afterall, if Vince was *right* not to expand the business by utilizing WCW talent - that seems like a business thing and more like an ego/sports thing.
If people treated the WWE more like a business - as I agree they should - they'd praise only things that made money, not things that they personally wanted to see.
Otherwise, awesome and on-point comparison between Orton/Cena/Punk and Hogan/Triple H/the clique.

Wow, getting de-pushed for fucking with the Rock smartened him up a bit, eh?
I hope this glad handing doesn't work, WWE is a million times better with mid-card Randy Orton. Now if we can start working on mid-card John Cena, baby, we'd got a stew goin'!

lol@ the idiots who think wrestling is real, he had a match with him and won! hahaha, if the rocc did a stone cold and said he would take his ball and go home orton wouldn't have went over. yet the rocc just like jericho never really minded putting people over. both left and can come bacc when they want, and will get big ovations. it's all about showmanship. I give randy credit for putting over talent lately, but still he acts like a bitch boy at times yell

A lot of fans want to believe that wrestlers are addicted to the business, and that there's nothing they'd rather do than entertain in the ring.
That's understandable -- we're addicted to watching it, why can't our heroes be addicted to performing?
The fact that Rock left because he "had nothing left to accomplish" implies that he viewed his wrestling career as just another occupation.
His wrestling fans were not enough. He outgrew us. He wanted more than just us.

Because the ones that can get out don't want to die young, and they want to lead something resembling a normal life. You do realize wrestlers have a very short life expectancy? Not only does it put insane stress on their bodies, but it also keeps them away from their families. So there's actually a better chance that they'll be dead before they're able to retire. But that's okay. Because you need to be entertained.

SMH at some of these idiots on here. Punk and Orton talking shit about The Rock makes no sense at all. I guarantee if Brock Lesnar and Stone Cold Steve Austin came back for one last run, they wouldnt say the same thing. Im sure Rock/Orton will happen, or Punk/Rock will happen and thats probably what they are trying to get anyway. Cena/Rock started this same way. It's all a work more than likely. Once again, this is BUSINESS.
Rock being back and wrestling is good for business. 95 percent of wrestling fans said he sold out when he left and wanted him back, now he's back and they complain or call the WWE fans sheep. The ones who watch WWE, call themselves fans, but complain about EVERYTHING are the sheep. I think WWE has been lackluster the last 3-4 years, but with Punk rising, Ziggler stepping his game up, Orton doing his thing, Cody stepping up, Rock is back and wrestling and still doing his thing, cutting amazing promos(LOL at the dude who said Rock didnt learn how to cut a new promo, Rock's promos havent been the same at all. His 1998-2000 style promo was different from his 2001-2002 style promos, which was different from 2003-2004 promos and his 2011 promos have been just as good. Check his "satellite" promos from Feb/March 2011.)
And, Orton is one of my fav wrestlers these days but his comments, much like Punk's do actually resemble some sort of jealousy. Orton was mad that Rock came back, said he's not going away and wasnt there live until a month later. Then he was mad cause he wanted to face Cena at Wrestlemania 28. Punk was mad that Rock is in the main event of Wrestlemania 28, and he wasnt. Punk went out, earned his main event spot and still bitches about it. Punk and Orton are two of fav guys, but they are grown ass men. Be a man, keep earning your spot, and do your thing. And dont run down somebody who's helping buyrates and money for the business that you claim you love.
