its obvious why cena aint wrestling at the TLC PPV. its because they want to rest Cena up as much as possible so he is ready to go for his WM match against the rock..

i see a Cena heel turn coming.

Posted By: Guest#6370 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:05 AM

actually nobody would think WWE would sell that unless WWE doesn't see Cena as their top guy anymore. thus making CM Punk the top guy.

How big is the IWC? This might be the best selling product in history.

Posted By: Dr. Wiki (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:07 AM

Heel turn or no heel turn I'm almost surprised it took them this long to cash in on what would clearly be a big seller.

Posted By: Guest#1272 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:09 AM

Cena not at the TLC PPV. Cena suck shirts being made. wow WWE is so smart with this Cena situation. Cena turns heel next after his feud with kane.

Posted By: Guest#7774 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:09 AM

WWE is gonna turn cena heel and this makes it obvious with this shirt. they gotta turn cena heel so they can make even more money on the cena sucks shirts.

Are they available in children's sizes, or is WWE going back to trying to market to older fans too?

Posted By: Trashy (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:12 AM

Expect them to sell out at Mania

Yeah giving a guy a new shirt that will be a big seller must mean he's not the top guy.

Posted By: Wait..what? (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:22 AM

You're all looking forward to Cena turning...so that Vince can turn him back after just a few months?!?

Posted By: Brad B (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:39 AM

CM Punk shirt would still out sell this shirt too.

Posted By: Guest#7641 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:42 AM

This enables WWE to still be able to cash in on Cena after they turn him heel..smart

This is sad not the shirt thing the way you guys wan't Cena to turn heel? Either way your going to get the same amount of Cena on your tv except this time he will be more like HHH was when everyone hated him.

Posted By: hahah (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 12:54 AM

Cena was gold as a heel.

Posted By: Guest#6745 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 01:02 AM

cena heel turn? yeah right why would wwe be stupid enough to do that when they can sell 2 top shirts one for the guys who hate him and those who dont?

It's not future telling...it's based on history. A good guy turns bad and gets cheers from the crowd for developing a new persona. Vince sees this and wants to put an immediate stop to it because his heels can't be cheered. So the good guy in question turns back quickly.

Happens countless times (with CM Punk being the most recent example). How many times do you need to see it before you realize it's how Vince does business?!?

Here's an idea: maybe if they do turn Cena, all you "too cool for the room" guys that boo him as a good guy because you feel you have to will CONTINUE booing him even when he's bad. If there isn't the predictable shift from smarts who now will cheer him because they got what they want, perhaps "heel Cena" will stick around for more than a few months.

OK cena is certainly not turning heel idiots. its called marketing. clearly this shirt is designed for those 18-30M who hate cena. besides, some say cena was cool back he was a rapper, well.. teenagers liked him as a rapper, adults kinda hated him for being a wigger. true story.

Posted By: huh (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 01:18 AM

The Cena Sucks shirt does not indicate a heel turn. It is meant to sell while he is a face. If he turns, it looses all its meaning. This way, they make money from every which way instead of just from the cena marks. He's probably not going to turn heel for years, and when he does, the Cena kids will be smart ass teenagers who will be eager for some TV MA fare, which Vince will gladly deliver. And then, maybe wrestling will be good again. For now, we wait.

You can't cite CM Punk, because he wasn't just getting cheered, he was getting Stone Cold pops. You can't not turn him when that happens, you'd have to be an idiot. This is all assuming that it wasn't Vince's plan to turn him all along. That said, Vince has never turned anyone heel and back in a matter of months ever. The one possible exception is Hogan in 02, but he never really turned him heel, he was introduced as a heel, and the crowd forced him face. Cena won't turn full blown heel any time soon.

Posted By: Joe (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 01:34 AM

If you buy that shirt and hate Cena, you're an idiot because Cena will still get the royalties for it because it has his name on it. You will essentially display your hatred of John Cena by putting money in his pocket.

And people say Vince McMahon isn't a genius. Ha.

Posted By: Guest#7010 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 01:39 AM

Cena could be a tweener like CM Punk perhaps.

Good for them. Seriously good for them. They're listening to the fans.

Posted By: TK03000 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 02:27 AM

This shirt has nothing to do with a Cena heel turn. Somebody in WWE realized that of half the audience buys pro-Cena shirts, then the other half will buy Cena Sucks shirts. It's just about getting all the dollars. It may also be a good gauge to see if Cena is losing steam. If the Cena Sucks shirts are best sellers, it might be a good idea to back away from the guy slowly.

They've been running on John Cena Juice since 2004. That's a hell of a long time in this day and age, plus the guy is moving into the part of his career where he's gonna need to consider how long he can keep going. I don't think Cena can ever work as a true heel again. Hulk Hogan is a real life heel and could work that character. Cena was a boring heel and works as the goofy face because that's him.

Anyway, I'm still convinced Cena has been working heel for some time now, just nobody notices because his heel character is just as lame as his face character.

If you wore this and the dude next to you wore the "Sin Cara's dick" shirt, it would be comedy gold.

this is official for me now..

the era of hating super cena is over when the corporation that as good as owns him and his name, and has made fucking millions from pushing him as the all around good guy and fan fave for years..

now panders to the elder men and internet just to make money with this shirt

any of you dimwits who buy this t shirt want fucking, you may as well buy a respect, loyalty and whatever else his t shirts say. the cash all goes to the same company and person.

i hope he stays face and then comes out one night on raw when everyone is desperate for the heel turn.. and starts giving money to the kids and ladies in the crowd with his respect gear... and then wipes the floor with the older males and internet nerds who call him out and tell them that whoever purchased one of the shirts just put more cash in his pockets which he will gladly donate to charities or buy kids and ladies in the crowd gifts for every week/show.

long live super cena!!!!!

funny thing is Cena gets royalties from those t-shirts. lol. 'bout time they did this.

Posted By: Guest#9973 (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 03:04 AM

That's absolutely brilliant. If he stays face, they can make money off of the annoying grown men who buy the shirts. If he goes heel, they can make money off of heartbroken kids. Either way, great double-dipping.

Bullying? Be a Star?

WWE is a contradiction! Phony.

Let me state I hate TNA, want to like it, but WWE needs to stop being so erratic!

The wrestlers get royalties from the shirts. All the people who hate cena and but this T are ironically putting more money in his pocket.

Smart move. Cena merch is a huge seller with the kids and women, and selling Cena sucks shirts allow the WWE to make huge money from the men. WWE wins big, no heel turn or not.

I don't boo Cena because I'm too cool for the room, I liked him when he was the heel rapper from many a year ago. I boo him because he is a WWE selective perception of what is cool and good in the world. I boo him because like everyone else his felt his act got cold real fast and he isn't over with half the audience yet he always is in the spotlight. Which is disgusting proof the WWE cares way less about their fans then they actually should. Cena could lose and it still wouldn't hurt their profit. He could be more like Rey Mysterio.

I smell what The Rock is cooking...
Cena will not turn heel, guys, just Rock will appear with a new t-shirt soon in order to continue their feud.

WWE will make even more money from face Cena now.

They are finally acknowleging Cena haters to the point they are trying to make a profit.

Cena is such a company man that it wouldn't surprise me if this was his idea.

I have to laugh @ those who think this means an impending Cena heel turn. I honestly hope people aren't that stupid to believe that shit. It's just another way for Cena to bring in the $$$ to McMahon. Now Cena will be even more profitable with selling regular shirts to the kiddies and "hater" shirts to the adults.

Anyone who thinks this means a heel turn...I've got a bridge to sell you...

The Cena haters will look so dumb buying these and wearing them as all they're doing is lining up Cena's pockets so who gets the last laugh in this? Cena.

Posted By: Gary (Guest)  on December 18, 2011 at 11:22 AM

Problem: Half your audience hates your biggest draw, but he's still too popular to turn.

Solution: Sell a shirt catering to the people who hate him, ensuring you get everyone's money.

If anyone thinks Cena will turn hell you're clearly not that intelligent. Do you really think Vince sits down and goes "Hey guys you know how we have that one dude who makes a ton of money and gets us viewers all the time ? Lets like stop that."

Rock, HHH, HBK, Piper, Austin, UT and Hart are just very recent examples of heels that get sizeable face cheers and remain heels for extended periods of time. Jericho probably fits here too but isn't quite as big as all the other guys I listed.

You can have heels that get cheers. What you can't have is a face that gets booed. That's a terrible sign and indicates the character is very stale and it's not appreciation but disgust that is fueling the reaction. Rock, Hogan and I believe even Austin at points were getting sizeable negative reactions, forcing them to change up their acts. Cena is right now closer to the Rock, Austin, Hogan level and at the stage where people are just sick of him and he needs to freshen things up. I don't know that he has the talent of those guys though.

Brad B is the smartest guy that posts here reguarly. Anyway CM PUNK is not the answer Randy Orton is he is still only 31. You guys are morons in your fandom. CM PUNK blows he is nowhere near Daniel Bryan. I at least see why the IWC likes him. Punk is a bump as Del Rio would say. When Cena turns heel so you can cheer him I ll be excited to see all the hypocrites singing his praises. I have been a Cena fan since he was The Prototype havent waivered because I recoginize the talent which thankfully isnt running your mouth in worked shoots so little fanboys shit their pants

No, that's TNA.

Posted By: WetOREO (Guest) on December 18, 2011 at 01:14 AM"

TNA is known for inexplicably turning wrestlers back & forth, sometimes multiple times in the same calendar year.

When WWE does it, it's usually for one reason* - newly-turned heels are getting cheered by the audience and he needs to do a 180 and get him back to "good guy" status because HEELS CAN'T BE CHEERED!

*--Unless your name is "Kane" or "Big Show," in which case, the bookers just flip a coin backstage and inform you before stepping through the curtain.

Posted By: Joe (Guest) on December 18, 2011 at 01:34 AM"

Besides the obvious Hogan example, here's a few off the top of my head:

* "Evil Doink" - January 1993 to August 1993
* The Rock - January 2003 to June 2003
* Steve Austin - March 2001 to July 2011; July 2001 to Nov 2001
* Undertaker - Nov 2001 to Sept 2002
* HBK - July 2005 to September 2005 (definitely counts! There is nothing HBK did during this time that didn't scream "HEEL")

These are examples of turns that happened within a few months. But the unwritten rule in WWE is: if a bad guy gets too popular and starts receiving overwhelming cheers he needs to be turned. In extreme cases (like the ones above), it's necessary to accelerate the process.

Point is: when/if Cena finally turns, don't get used to it.

First correction: Austin was as popular as he had ever been when he was turned at WM X-7. And when he turned on Rock and aligned with Vince, the crowd still lost their shit. It wasn't until the Alliance swerve in July that the crowd finally started booing Austin. And of course, "What?!?" changed all that.

Second, how can you possibly say that it's bad business to have a good guy that's soundly booed when Cena has been getting the same reactions since summer of 1995 (over 6 years!) The second his feud with JBL ended (which was the height of his post-heel popularity), is when he started getting the mixed reactions which varied based on opponent (overwhelmingly negative vs. Angle, HHH, RVD, & HBK; mostly positive vs. Edge; overwhelmingly positive vs. Khali, Show, & Nexus).

"...since 1995 (almost 6 years)...

Clearly this was an error and should have said "2005." Let's not ignore the facts of this discussion to needlessly focus on a typo.

If they DID turn Cena heel they'd make even more money off of this, because all the marks and the people who like Cena would buy it too. The downside is they'd probably stop buying those Cenation shirts.

I don't know where Cena was wrestling in 1995, but it wasn't WWE. And that was 16 years ago.

Anyway, Cena was over when he beat Big Show for the US Title in 2004. And fortunately he had JBL to feud with for the WWE Title or he probably wouldn't have got over as well since his character is so cheesy. Anyway, WWE doesn't care if you boo him or cheer him. They just want you to care. If you boo him, you care. It's not XPac heat.

You're all looking forward to Cena turning...so that Vince can turn him back after just a few months?!?

oh so you can tell the future now? i doubt it.

Posted By: Guest#4352 (Guest) on December 18, 2011 at 12:48 AM

Gotta go with Brad, they'll turn him heel, but it probably won't last long.

Ooh, ooh, I got a great idea. How about WWE starts marketing "Bizarro Cena" shirts when he turns heel. He can have a new heel gimmick and everything.

"I don't know where Cena was wrestling in 1995, but it wasn't WWE.

Way to be predictable by pointing out an obvious typo.

And you're honestly going to say that Cena only rose to superstardom because his opponents at the time were Big Show & JBL who the crowd absolutely hated? That's your argument? Boy, has the IWC pointless hatred of Cena gone to new ridiculous levels!

actually nobody would think WWE would sell that unless WWE doesn't see Cena as their top guy anymore. thus making CM Punk the top guy.

Posted By: Guest#4116 (Guest) on December 18, 2011 at 12:07 AM

You could NOT be more wrong. As long as Cena has the kids and women behind him...he will be the top guy. All WWE is doing now is OPENLY cashing in on the Anti-Cena crowd. The sales pitch being, you dont NEED to buy a CM Punk or Rock shirt to be "against" Cena.

Kayfabe aside, Ill bet John HIMSELF pushed for the shirt.

The WWE has to do something to make up for the lack of sales of CM Punk's shirts.

Does it involve Cena vacuuming?

You can have heels that get cheers. What you can't have is a face that gets booed.

hahaha. sorry dude, but this posting just screams "I am a moron."

Heel Turn imminent?

About 5 years too late, he was alot more hated back in 2006.
Typical WWE, been years since they got their timing right.

Posted By: Brad B (Guest) on December 18, 2011 at 01:12 AM"

Vince has never done that?

Kurt Angle, Y2J, Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold and Vince himself say hi.
