- Anderson Cooper's 2011 year-end recap show on Saturday night mentioned John Cena. Cooper made mention of Cena's announcement of the death of Osama bin Laden to the live audience at the end of WWE Extreme Rules, which included CNN playing a YouTube clip of the announcement and showing the PPV graphic.
He also appeared on Charlie Brooker's 2011 Wipe show on BBC4 in the UK.

He was also mentioned on Charlie Brooker's 2011 WIpe review of the year although Charlie erroneously referred to him as John Senna...

You always hear about WWE in the main stream media. Because they know there is only ONE pro wrestling company worth mentioning. The rest are just school gym promotions.
