WWE News: Brock Lesnar Update, CM Punk Gets an Award, More
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.01.2012

- WWE obviously wants Brock Lesnar to come back to the company now that he's retired from the UFC. WWE has attempted to get him back in the past; the question is whether he wants to and whether WWE can get a deal with the UFC that would get Lesnar out of his contract.

- CM Punk won the 2011 Chicago Sports Stud of the Year award from the Chicago RedEye. White Sox DH Adam Dunn was the Chicago Sports Dud of the Year.

- Cox Communications has WWE Classics On Demand still, with footage on it that won't be removed until January 22nd. WWE was actively advertising a "Raging Rebels" theme for January; no indication has been given by WWE or Cox that the service will be discontinuing in the near future.

Brock can still make a lot of cash for WWE.

Lesnar will be in WWE soon enough..

I gotta give up to Brock, the most overpushed no talent hack in wwe history besides Sheamus! No mic skills at all, 5 moves of doom, without a manager he would be nothing and when comes back to wwe and gets overpushed again people will complain like they do about Cena, atleast Cena has mic skills. All of a sudden the "Iwc" jumps on the Brock "Overrated" Lesnar bandwagon !Cena> Lesnar

Well I can tell you that it won't be Brock returning to RAW tomorrow night. I don't think it's Jericho or Batista either, unfortunately it's probably Undertaker or even worse.... Rey Mysterio.
Be prepared for disappointment.

This guy had no business going over Rock, Hogan,Undertaking and other legends CLEAN !I guess Cm punk is gonna get buried for this loser when he returns.

Must have been a bad year for Chicago.

It will absolutely happen. WWE is desperate for ratings and Brock is a true star. They will throw as much money as possible to make this happen.

Lesnar is out of his contract...he status became so the moment he retired, was what Dana mentioned at the press conference the other day...however I do not know if there has to be a waiting period...

I know who is the 1/2/2011 wrestler...I just saw Chris Jerrico at the airport on the way to his hotel room. It is chris jerico

So what I'm Overrated, and had terrible NFL Career!I will continue to use WWE for all their money.

Posted By: Brock Lesnar (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 09:08 PM

Rumor is he will return in the Royal Rumble.
My guess is he will win it to go on for a title shot at Wrestlemania.

After back to back to back asskickings Brock's legitimacy value in WWE isn't as high as it use to be.

I hope brock doesn't come back ,he should do movies .He is to good for the wwe now.Brock wants to be mainstream not lamestream.

Posted By: Guest#0169 (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 09:36 PM

lesnar wont be anywhere near the WWE if there are still huge issues with his insides. if he is fit enough to take proper bumps etc he will but other wise.. no chance.

Brock Lesnar is the Anonymous Raw Manager

I think it will be brotus clay returning HAHAHA fuck that

Guest#8689, retirement does not nullify a contract in professional sports. Otherwise Couture would've been able to claim retirement to jump ship to Affliction for the Fedor fight. Same thing happened with Brett Favre. The teams retained rights to him.

if the disease is so severe i doubt a full run its probably gonna be a couple of time spots like the rock

Posted By: Guest#8146 (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 09:57 PM

We all know its going to be Ryback that shows up tomorrow night

Posted By: MARK OUTTINGTON (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 09:59 PM

It is funny to hear Etards clamor for Lesner after they shit all over him in his last match. I think he will go for the lighter TNA schedule.

Posted By: Guest#5922 (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 10:14 PM

BLesnar will only take a deal from WWE if its part time like Rock.

Posted By: TheR (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 10:14 PM

stay tuned for the Royal Rumble

CM Punk over Derrick Rose? Pshh.

Posted By: nickolai (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 10:36 PM

i know everyone is really into hating jericho for being the secret reveal tomorrow night, but guaranteed that everyone is going to fucking love it after his first encounter with punk.

it's fun to watch these comment board posters unabashedly pull 180s.

get ready for Y2J to prove himself all over again to the IWC.

Feel bad for the Deathclutch camp. Without Lesner fighting what's the point of Deathclutch.

Posted By: MadLib (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 10:57 PM

honestly I think hes completely retired except maybe a mania match or two.

Posted By: Guest#9506 (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 10:59 PM

Brock seems like his injury is worse then people might think, and he fought scared in his last fight. Considering the fact he might not be able to safely take bumps, I doubt he will be running back to WWE just for the money.

Then there is his wife, who was Melina before Melina. The roster might not greet Brock or his wife back with open arms just because Vince has.

First off TNA is broke. Secondly, I would rather see the new and young talent get some kind of push instead of all these washed out WWE and old men. I would also like to see TNA actually get some original content and not stolen from WWE and WCW. TNA is going under and that is a shame due to all these 30 second matches and 1 1/2 talking. Think about it before you open your E-tard mouth.

Posted By: Guest#1099 (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 11:07 PM

I think the only way he'd consider coming back would be a television only schedule with a pay raise over whatever he was making his last run.

Posted By: Charles (Guest)  on January 01, 2012 at 11:42 PM

Brock couldn't hang in todays WWE.. his skills just aren't up to par, this is the a Otunga generation.. wake up Brock, even a Slated would leave your ass in the breeze.

Posted By: Cole (Guest)  on January 02, 2012 at 12:08 AM

Brock will get the Taker schedule. Show up for a couple matches a year and maybe do some appearances. That's all.

How many wrestlers on the current roster were even with the WWE during Sables prior tenure?

Posted By: Guest#1634 (Guest)  on January 02, 2012 at 02:37 AM

i know that wwe is interested in bringing back brock but did they forget how lesnar shit on them when he quit?

i don't think lesnar can or does want to work full time. and there's no way wwe will given him the undertaker kind of schedule because he is not worthy of it.

Posted By: Guest#5607 (Guest)  on January 02, 2012 at 04:49 AM

I'd be surprised if he showed up at the Rumble, but definitely wouldn't rule him out of showing up at WrestleMania.

Brock Lesnar: Can't take the heat of the UFC. Goes back to the really fake sport.

Posted By: Jane (Guest)  on January 02, 2012 at 09:50 AM

If Lesnar can't take shots in UFC how can he take bumps in WWE? Diverticulitis is a serious condition. He should retire from in ring competition all together.

Posted By: dave626 (Guest)  on January 02, 2012 at 10:18 AM

Too bad he couldn't fake his way into being the UFC Champion again! Dana White knows he protects guys that are marketable. He should have told Overeem to take the fall to get the rematch pay day!

Stupid business UFC!

Lesnar won't be back. He hated the traveling while he was young, now that he has a family there's no way he'll do it again.

I will disagree with everything you say, short of the IWC turning on him...because they turn on anything they once liked and then got popular, like the Hipsters they are.

Lesnar had solid matches with just about everyone in his tenure (which bare in mind was TWO years...name anyone other than Angle who tore it up constantly two years into their big-time debut). And watch the Mariachi promo building his match with Eddie and his Smackdown promo where he pleads with Vince to make the match with Goldberg at Mania..Brock was away ahead of the curve...had he not left, imagine where he'd be now..

Adam Dunn did suck. Derrick Rose was better than CM Punk.
