Hurry back, RKO, CM Punk's title reign is a ratings disaster!

So is he really even hurt or did he ask for and recieve time off? If I was really hurt vacation would be the farthest thing from my mind. I guess this injury is just a work.

When you're on the road all the time, you have to take quality time with your family when you can get it. And having time off where his back isn't repeatedly slammed into the ground (even if he's traveling a lot on planes or even swimming or whatever) is likely good for his health regardless and, injury or not (and there likely is one), is probably a GREAT time for a vacation of that sort.

You can do back rehab exercises in the Bahamas. Just FYI.

Both, actually. He's selling the injury and receiving time off to make Wade seem like a monster. Besides, if you're on the road 300 days a year, wouldn't you take advantage of every opportunity to spend time with your family?

Yeah Wade sure looks like a monster. He beat up Randy so bad he's chillin in the Bahamas and only out for a few weeks...

He's just taking time off; the injury is a work to make him seem tough. He won't miss a single PPV payday.

Lol, apparently Sarcasm believes wrestling is still real. From a tv/mark perspective Barett is the guy who "took orton out". Why not go do your cool virgin gimmick elsewhere punk.

Good for RKO. He needs this as Im sure his back was in huge pain the way it carried S-Down on it since May when he returned to the show.

If you weren't suck a retarded mark, you'd realize EVERYTHING is a fucking rating disaster right now.

Hardly. They are much better than when that charisma black hole Orton was the champ. He is a worse in-ring performer than Dwayne, and he is a snoozefest on the mic.

Are you guys getting paid for this? His injury is obviously a work.

Orton can continue to work on healing his back while in the Bahamas.

And as for his likely "return," you don't know what's going to happen and, it seems, have "made up your mind" regarding the limited possibilities you may have actually considered.

He could return next week and say he's upset because he'll end up missing WrestleMania, which brings out Barrett to stare him down but then someone ELSE attacks Barrett. And this sets up Barrett's next big feud in the meantime.

Or maybe Orton comes back and says he's not supposed to wrestle injured but he plans to be in the Rumble anyway because he would hate to miss WrestleMania, then he eliminates Barrett in the Rumble before Barrett causes Orton's elimination. Then Barrett fights Orton and they do a different variation on what already happened or whatever which injures Orton further, leading to Orton being "officially" out of action for the rest of the time he needs off.

And either situation could have Orton be a special referee for Barrett's match (assuming it's against someone else) at WrestleMania. And would show that Orton taking this current "time off" was a result of a "first strike" in his ongoing feud with Barrett - which, as the person you replied to with sarcasm stated, is meant to help Barrett look like a monster. Which, by the way, is easier if he lays Orton out (as he's already done), then attempts to "finish the job."

And there are MANY other options for what direction they go in even if he "comes back" immediately, almost all of which continue to stress that Barrett has injured Orton badly (Barrett's a monster) while simultaneously showing that Orton doesn't intend to "give up" just because he's hurt.

This is the type of thing you do to make both wrestlers look stronger. It's Booking Logic 101.

But it's apparent from what you said that you don't know where this is even POSSIBLY going - so you can hold the "sarcasm" for when you have some clue of the likely or remotely probable turn of events (which isn't solely "dirt sheet"-derived).

Hell, Orton could return and win the Rumble as Barrett rages in the background - which eventually leads to Orton, with the title, facing Barrett in a huge grudge match down the line which Barrett goes over in - winning his first World (or WWE) Title. And thus, this "time off" was still about making Barrett seem like a monster. But you're apparently too cynical or or closed-minded to realize these potential outcomes so it's just, "Har har. Like Barrett injuring Orton means anything about Barrett being a monster if Orton's back a few weeks later for any reason."

I dont like Orton but Punk is not doing well as champ. There is a reason why Cena is still main eventing and Punk opens the 2nd hour as champ. Think about it.
