California "Cheers" for John Cena? Not this fan!

Posted By: cwell510 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:17 PM

Nice to see my state boos him. Didn't expect that.

Posted By: Guest#1156 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:18 PM

It hurts to be in a state where he gets cheered.

Posted By: Tom (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:19 PM

I bet the number 1 city he gets booed in the most is Chicago.

Posted By: Guest#3967 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:19 PM

Australia is pretty receptive to Cena.

Although Perth have chosen to not Rise Above the Hate. Odd.

Posted By: Dave (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:20 PM

So does this mean that the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is now part of Wisconsin?

Posted By: Mideon (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:23 PM

Kentucky Hates Cena

Posted By: Gaurilla (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:23 PM

He's the man. no question.
He gets booed in cities like Chicago and Toronto because those cities are loaded with MARKS

Posted By: cool (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:27 PM

Bull crap. Dude is booed everywhere, that's nonsense

Posted By: Mike H (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:29 PM

Lmao, I guess they don't go to Nunavut, The Northwest Territories or The Yukon.

Posted By: Guest#8793 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:33 PM

Was this compiled through a wide survey?

I'm surprised how Connecticut dislikes him...that is McMahon land.

Posted By: Guest#4453 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:34 PM

Is this a joke? I'm British and Cena gets booed out of the building whenever he's here.

Posted By: Guest#9567 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:38 PM

China probably like him because whenever WWE tours there, the company dresses Cena up as a commie.

Posted By: Guest#3074 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:38 PM

The red spot I live in is Hawaii which makes me BETTER THAN YOU.

Posted By: TROOF (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:40 PM

Cena gets the most of his boos, who would've guess(sarcasm), in the old AWA territory, "Flair Country", and the areas of Canada, where pro wrestling is still taken pretty seriously. The moment Cena went from being the "hard-scrabble kid from West Newberry, MA with swag" to the 2nd coming of 1980's "Super Hogan" his fate was sealed. Have fun selling all that merch.

Posted By: scipio2009 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:41 PM

Very cool, fun idea but as someone who was at WrestleMania 23, Survivor Series 2005, and other events in Michigan (from Detroit to Grand Rapids) there's no way that we're that pro-Cena. We're more of an even split with just the slightest anti-Cena edge.

Posted By: Ron Mexico (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:44 PM

Illinois hates CENA 100%

Posted By: Illnois (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:45 PM

uh... california cheers for Cena?? since when!? At the very least its split.

Posted By: john (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:57 PM

He is cheered in Italy and England ? Fucking stupid.

Posted By: The Voice of Reason (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 05:59 PM

That's funny, he gets more boos in Kentucky than New York or Chicago

Posted By: Bill (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:03 PM

Proud to be a Utahn right now. My greatest moment in my life (yes, more so than my kids being born)was when Umaga slammed Cena's head into the railing in front of me.

Posted By: Greenie (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:03 PM

Damn it Kansas! We're always a red state...

Posted By: Erik... (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:05 PM

And your NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion...

Posted By: zappafrank (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:07 PM

That is really, really, really sad.

Posted By: Get a life. (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:11 PM

I question John Cena's popularity in Qatar...They only cheered him because he brought out loaves of bread.

Posted By: Guest#3909 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:11 PM

Last time Raw was live in England we give him plenty of hell!

Inaccurate map is inaccurate.

Posted By: Guest#5150 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:12 PM

It was a sad day for me when 2 years ago I went to a house show in Omaha. When Cena came out I realized what hell was I surrounded by people wearing Bronco colors cheering like crazy. It made me sad to be a Husker

Posted By: Pankakes (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:24 PM

So...based on that map:

Cena is least over in Kentucky and New York.

Cena is most over in....Qatar. Ship him out!

Posted By: beejifu (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:25 PM

That seems a little inaccurate.

Posted By: Jerry (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:25 PM

Researched...

Posted By: Creter (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:37 PM

love it

Posted By: s1rude (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:38 PM

He gets booed out the building in the UK. So this is BS. Cool idea tho.

Posted By: ThePav (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:51 PM

This doesn't seem accurate

Posted By: Guest#6346 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:53 PM

Booooo!!!!

Posted By: Vince (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:53 PM

thats a lie, Cena is heavily boo'd in the UK always

Posted By: B (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 06:59 PM

Scotland doesn't exist apparently.

Posted By: This article is retarded (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:08 PM

It all started in Chicago

Posted By: Guest#0616 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:15 PM

Nice to see Nebraska was left off the list...even though the map says it's a "Boo" state.

Posted By: Guest#7380 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:16 PM

Pennsylvania cheers? Lmao this is such bullshit. Philly booed him louder than any crowd I have had the pleasure of sitting in on and Pittsburgh wasn't too far behind.

Posted By: Guest#7093 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:39 PM

This can't be right, he gets booed out the building in London ...

Posted By: Guest#6384 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:40 PM

This map can also double as a list of locations where the WWE has cancelled shows due to poor ticket sales.

Posted By: WWE 1963-2012 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:40 PM

My wife and I were looking for a place to move. This helps narrow it down, so we can live in a pro-Cena state. Thank you 411!

Posted By: Flex (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:47 PM

Today, I'M a proud quebecer

Posted By: Daffo (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:53 PM

Surprised Pennsylvania isn't listed as a "Boo" state since Philly loathes him.

Posted By: Charles (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 07:59 PM

I live in the city that boos him the most and at survivor series I was not booing. I was in awe even though I would have boo him if the crowd wasn't so pro the rock

Posted By: yincia (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:02 PM

Dam. Some loosers have TOO Much time on their hands.

Next should be a map where everyone thinks Edge is a quitter and coward.

Posted By: Spencer Mallard (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:06 PM

Seriously, this map could be from 2006 or something. It's far too pro Cena. I watch every week & own a working pair of earholes.

Posted By: The Hitcher (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:08 PM

I am a proud member of CeNation!! WWE, the #1 wrestling in the world!!!

Posted By: Elvylanda (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:13 PM

This is actually a clever idea.

Posted By: Guest#7798 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:13 PM

Not Pennsylvania! You're better than that!

Posted By: Doc (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:15 PM

nice to see canada is neutral?

Posted By: whocares (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:17 PM

Not sure why my state is grey. I have been to about four shows in the NH area where he has been present. The crowd seems to love him and a lot of Cena merchandise is worn. He has also introduced himself at dark and house shows as a local guy (we're about thirty minutes from his hometown). His father always is there in the crowd.

Posted By: New Hampshire (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:23 PM

I thought he gets booed becuase he has been the same character for going on 7 + years... cool cleared up my confusion though.... or not

Posted By: Guest#7093 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:33 PM

This is such bullshit. He get's booed in every city he goes to. It's because people don't want him in the role he is in. Stop.

Posted By: Jon Caplan of Jenkintown PA (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 08:53 PM

Do they realize michigan has two peninsulas? Looks like they don't.... Way to be WWE you're PG like your education level. The Upper Peninsula is not apart of Wisconsin.

Proud to be from NY!

Posted By: digga (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:10 PM

Researched? WTH...This dude is booed massively in most states but in The U.S they show him as being popular in most? And as I click the link at no point is it mentioned that any research was done in this creation outside of hey let us know if you agree or disagree with it.

Posted By: Guest#2308 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:12 PM

And they say we always boo the wrong guy...

Posted By: Montreal (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:48 PM

I need to teach my fellow Texans better. The house show this last weekend was about 90/10 pro Cena. Ugh.

Posted By: JC (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:50 PM

So they're saying PA likes Cena? Last time i checked there's this city called Philadelphia in PA. He's not so loved there, or anywhere else for that matter. Whoever made this..../facepalm.

Posted By: Guest#1141 (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:50 PM

utah yay my state, we hate him yay!!! woohoo =D

Posted By: smm (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:51 PM

So Cena is cheered in Pennsylvania? The birth-state of ECW? That Pennsylvania? Man, Pittsburg must really love Cena if it and the rest of the state can balance out Philadelphia…

Posted By: John (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 09:58 PM

Chicago and Illinois should get a gold star because this is where the hate really started at WrestleMania 22

NY, NY....we HATE Cena...FU*K JOHN CENA CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP

Posted By: Guest#3967 (Guest) on January 11, 2012 at 05:19 PM

I certainly do my part. If I wrote for the wrestling section, my banner would be him in that stupid Al Capone outfit from Wrestlemania, accompanied by an audio clip of Nancy Kerrigan crying "WHYYYY?!"

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed Nebraska was left off (even though we somehow got colored in anyway).

Posted By: Stevie J (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 11:03 PM

I have doubts about this map. Post match, several people in Florida claimed they were actually booing Pat Buchanan.

Posted By: Tristan (Guest)  on January 11, 2012 at 11:22 PM

I bet a lot of you are now realize that Chicago is not a state.

I didn't realize us NCers didn't like John Cena.

Manchester and Liverpool cheered him last year idiot

He got booed out of the building in Liverpool.

wow, such a wrong spelling of "United Kingdom" there

Posted By: diz (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 06:26 AM

there must be 1 more color for towns where crowd chant to kill him - like in East Rutherford, New Jersey at Summerslam 2007

Posted By: ermacermac (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 06:29 AM

yea its pretty inaccurate. he got booed pretty bad in detroit even before booing him was popular

Posted By: mikecheck (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 07:29 AM

Been to every recent show in Boston and they are very anti-Cena.

Great comment response...all of this still putting money in Vince's pocket....and then selling anti Cena shirts along with Cena shirts....still winning...seems the only people hurting are fans that complain for no reason.......

Hell Hogan did his same character for what felt like 15-20 yrs before his switch over to the NWO.....Cena may run his good guy crap for a few more years.....and the merchandise will still sell.........

Posted By: Guest#5901 (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 08:54 AM

utterly shocked and also pleasantly surprised that my fellow kentuckians, the majority, boo cena

There's no way that UK one is accurate.

Posted By: Bubba (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 10:13 AM

Majority of Canada hates John Cena. Thank goodness. Go back to being a Thuganomic character and I think I might like you again.

I love my state just a little more now. Oregon is NOT Cena country.

Posted By: Adam! (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 10:57 AM

Cena is a good guy who works hard and never gets in trouble with drugs or the law. People only boo him so they can feel cool.

Posted By: Darren (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 12:01 PM

The Score is under contract with the WWE as their exclusive Canadian brodcaster and many of the folks on the shows ARE contracted to WWE so they toe the line and push storylines etc. Thats all they tweet about.

Theyll do the slow burn Cena turn and after a few weeks of the same cheers boos theyll drop it back to his "squeeky clean" image.

Have Cena shave his head, grow a goatee and put on a leather vest...drive down to the ring in a 4 wheeler and come up with more than his 5 moves of doom and change that to 5 catch phrases of doom he'll be cool. Oh HELLLLL YA!

Posted By: Fake Score BS (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 12:58 PM

Not so long ago (around post Summer of Punk thing) he got booed in his own town.
One day he will drink hard and kill himself because of this and Vince will cut everything about him just like he did with Benoit. Does all these green papers is good enough price for his life?

Posted By: ermacermac (Guest)  on January 12, 2012 at 01:53 PM

well florida might only have a small margin of boo vs yay but i'm satisfied lol
