Why on God's Green earth would any wrestling fan ask a wrestler to sign their baby? That's crazy.

Well WWE didn't fire cm punk so dreamer must be taking credit for doing nothing but lie that he saved punks job.

Not surprised, the WWE probably didn't even realise Punk was a former TNA wrestler until Dreamer mentioned it which is how CM Punk reached the level he's currently at now.

I can totally buy this. I remember CM Punk getting serious heat for a dark/HEAT/Velocity match he had against Val Venis back in 2005. Apparently HBK and HHH hated his performance and tried to convince anybody who would listen that Punk couldn't work. I'm guessing that's code for "he's out there getting himself over in a job match - he's a threat to our spots." Does anybody else remember this incident?

troll alert.

I would believe Tommy Dreamer on this one. He seems like a pretty straight shooter, and never seems to want to brag about himself or inflate his relevancy. In fact, every time you see him speak he seems to downplay his career.
Punk is COMPLETELY the opposite of the guys WWE was bringing in at the time. Not only was he small, he was never in athletic-looking shape, and he's tattooed up like an ex-convict.
And going back to what TradeMark said, I'm sure HHH/HBK weren't happy about him getting huge chants during when he was on Team DX with them at Survivor Series ... forget the year, but I think it was the one they swept against Team Rated RKO.

Lol yeah WWE loves pushing TNA rejects, just look at the great Marcus Corvon or the immortal Braden Walker....

HHH made sure to bury punk and then spin the story to say that punk gets a 'rub' by being chummy with the Hs.
Why did dreamer quit the WWE after he retired? he had a cushy office job waiting for him and he just refused?

You're close. Dave Lagana on one of his podcasts said in a creative meeting HHH had an issue over Punk in general and some of his move in particular and the talk was about letting him go. Michaels actually spoke up for him and said instead of bitching about him behind closed doors why don't you tell him what's wrong and get him to fix it.
So HBK played a large part in him staying but Punk has always teetered. Arn Anderson even was against him at one point saying he got fluke pops.

I'm pretty sure HBK is credited with sticking up for Punk at a critical moment and saving his job.
The HHH stuff I can believe.

No doubt in my mind about Dreamer's story. It happens in every line of work. When somebody starts out on the bottom there are going to be people along the way who help and those who get in the way. I'm sure we can all remember those people who helped us along the way to get to where we are now. And yes, unfortunately like the first commenter said, sometimes they're better at helping others than helping themselves.

"CM Punk" has been carved into my elevator door for the past ten years... can anybody explain that please??
Posted By: Guest#7328 (Guest) on January 26, 2012 at 07:44 AM
I think Dreamer is telling the truth. As much as I enjoy Punk's matches, whenever I've seen him live (and it's been about 5 times), whether face or heel, he gives off a vibe that he's a dick in real life (Sting is the only other wrestler that I got this vibe from back in 88). I could see how that might rub other wrestlers with pull the wrong way. Plus you have to admit, he's got some pretty fuckin stupid tatts. And this is coming from a CM Punk (as a wrestler/entertainer) fan.

Is anyone else suprised that someone who is so focused on wrestling that they would have Tommy Dreamer autograph their baby, ever had sex in the first place?

Posted By: duh (Guest) on January 26, 2012 at 12:35 PM
I remember talks that Arn Anderson wanting Punk fired for throwing him under the bus for the Hardcore Elimination Chamber.

Wait, it's Dreamer's fault that H-Pac still has a job? It's his fault that 45 minutes to an hour of RAW every week is wasted on that unwatchable indy garbage wrestler? Damn you Dreamer, Damn you straight to hell!
