THQ Releases Earnings For WWE '12
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.02.2012
How did the game do?
- THQ has released their latest earnings report, which includes WWE '12, ahead of WWE's quarterly earnings report. The company reported that the game shipped more than two million copies in the fourth quarter which was "in line with the expectations shared on the last investor conference call." The company says that the sell-through is up 29% on like-for-like platforms in North America.
And the servers still don't work right. Lets see how many drones buy next years after the shitty service they came through with on this one. I won't buy it without a money back guarantee.

Very disappointed with this game, I hoped the changes this year would be for the better..I was wrong...Maybe it is time for someone else to give it a shot.

Online sucks, but i hate playing wrestling online anyways. As a single player game is great and the replayability is fantastic.
THQ might be delisted from the NYSE soon, so maybe someone else will buy the license.

No Mercy for N64 was better.

WWE 12 is a perfect example of why THQ is in the dumper as well as a prime example of why people copy games instead of buying them. (I know I feel stupid for paying retail for a WWE game and it'll be another 5-10 years before it happens again)
Make a game worth the $60 and maybe that stock would stay above $1 for 10 days...

The engine is outdated and the game looks awful. The best part about it is the storylines are so unique. They should hire the writers who do the Road to Wrestlemania, cause the fueds are actually good.
And like everyone who has ever played it will say, No Mercy is still better, and it's over 12 years old.

Why someone making games can't figure this out and give us what we want (No Mercy 2012) is mind boggling.

I am in the same league as this poster. I love the game, just as I did SVR 2011 and, especially, 2010. But I know of the online issues, and lord knows that Universe mode has very big flaws and glitches as well. The so-called patch they released didn't seem to fix anything and in a couple of instances made it worse.
But I will still be first in line to get WWE 13.

Because they have to make games that appeal to the mass market, not just appeal to a group of internet marks who can't let go of the past.

How to print money...
Create a generic roster wrestling game with a very "close" adaption of Aki's No Mercy gmae engine. Release it on the Xbox and PS3 networks to avoid manufatur and distribution costs. Build a very strong CAW engine and allow users to share rosters to allow real life wrestling counterbparts to be in the game but avoid liscenses and lawyers... watch the online community create a perfect WWE, TNA, ROH, Indy and International roster with a great engine and count your money... it would be easy for any company with some capital and engine development support.
