Zach Ryder Reveals His Ideal WM Match, Says He Wants To Wrestle For World Title By End of 2012
Posted by Ashish on 02.03.2012

Zach Ryder says in an interview with Daily Star that his ideal WrestleMania match this year would be to face Jack Swagger in a U.S. Title match.

"I think it would bring prestige back to the title, again. Dolph Ziggler did that, it was a big deal when I won it. It put some stock in the title."

He also said that by the end of 2012, he wants to be in contention for the World Title.

"In January 2011, I was a nobody on Raw at best. By the end of 2011, I was U.S. Champion. By December 2012, I want to be wrestling for the World Heavyweight Championship."

I'm not sure if Zack will be world champ in 2012, but I could see him as world champ in 2013 if he can keep himself and his Internet show popular, and boost up his acting skills and technical ability. I see Ziggler being world champ in 2012, so naturally, Ziggler vs Zack will happen again sometime 2013.

Idk, going by Ziggler's Rumble match...usually when a guy has the other guy beat like multiple times in a match, the guy who keeps on losing wins it when the ref actually sees. That didn't happen lol, got bitched at Rumble then he got bitched the next night on Raw very decisively.

the show is already starting to lose its credibility and purpose. besides, even Ryder somehow keeps the show really interesting, if ryder himself cannot evolve both wrestling and character wise, wwe will constantly just f him over and over.

I could see them having a big push towards cena vs Ryder at wrestlemania 29, with ryder doing the whole rumble win to win the title at wm.

That is if they continue to let ryder do his show independantly, give him good exposure on raw, get him in top fueds with some top midcarders/low main eventers.

Then the crowd will be eating out of the palm of his hand by the end of the year ripe for a rr-wm pilgramage.

And then you woke up wet Zach. WOO WOO WOO! Your character is stale. YOU KNOW IT!

Oh Zack, there goes your push. You can't "wrestle" for anything in the WWE. However, if you wish to entertain for the title, well have at 'er son.

You know, Zack Ryder could be what brings back interesting gimmicks to the main event. Granted, he's no Ultimate Warrior or Macho Man, but he has a different character than all the other guys. Closest thing we have to a gimmick in the main event would be Undertaker or Kane. John Cena is the superman. Orton doesn't really have a gimmick, sure he's the viper, but that's like HHH being the game. It's a characteristic type of name, not a character. Bryan is an angry little man. Punk is a loud mouth. Henry is a big mean bastard. Show is a giant. But that giant part isn't much of a character. Ryder is a character and I think have a couple characters at least in the upper mid card would make things more interesting.

First, the midcard titles haven't been defended at Wrestlemania since Cena - Big Show.

Second, Zack Ryder, who I like, will have to successfully turn heel before he has any shot at a World Title. His goofy babyface character will never get past the midcard. Ask Kofi.

You've got a shot at Mania kid, but don't put all your eggs in one basket on becoming a World Champion in 2012.

Zack's Wrestlemania match should be Zack w/ Eve vs. Kane where he gets his revenge.. save the US title shot for later.

From 4388: First, the midcard titles haven't been defended at Wrestlemania since Cena - Big Show.
-----------------------------------
Ahem: Benoit-MVP, Chavo-Kane (yes the ECW title was a glorified midcard belt in my view, JBL-Rey, ShowMiz-Morrison & Truth

"First, the midcard titles haven't been defended at Wrestlemania since Cena - Big Show."

Rey vs JBL from WM 25 says hi.

Just off the top of my head, Wrestlemania 23 had Benoit vs. MVP for the US title. I'm sure there's been others.

Don't see that happening, he's a good mid-carder, lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I thought his ideal opponent would be Kane.

Hey retard- Benoit/JBL at WM 22 FOR THE SAME EXACT FUCKING TITLE says hi. So does Benoit/MVP at 23 FOR THE SAME FUCKING TITLE.

His gimmick has to evolve once more before he can even think of being in the World Title or WWE Title picture.

And, there's no reason to think he won't be facing Kane at WM.
