Some more Friday news...
- Mick Foley will be doing stand-ip comedy tonight at Cha Cha‘s in New York City at 9 and 11 PM ET. For more information including tickets, click here.
- GQ Magazine has named the WWE championship one of the top Sports Trophies of all time, along with the Stanley Trophy, the Green Masters golf jacket, the Olympic Gold Medal and the Vince Lombardi Trophy. You can see the article here
I rather have the WHC over the WWE championship belt .. unless its the Unidisputed WWE v2.

What about the major football trophies like the FA cup, UEFA Champions league and FIFA Workd Cup? Each is a far bigger and more prestigious trophy than all if the above combined.
Jericho rules!

Yeah, I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed that the write-up mentions that it's modeled after Flair's "Big Gold Belt", which is not true. So it's the World Heavyweight Championship that the writer was talking about. And thank God. I really still don't like the spinner belt.

This is directly from the GQ article: 2. The WWE Championship belt (wrestling)
When it comes to gaudy title belts, boxing has nothing on professional wrestling. Boxing's look like something stolen from the uniform closet of a Third World dictator. WWE's is modeled after the old-school solid-fake-gold title belt that Ric Flair used to rock. Wooo!!!
- Here there are describing the World Heavyweight Championship yet they posted a picture of the WWE title and thats what they are honoring. What a bunch of Clownshoes. Worse yet Vince will think the gaudy ass CEna Belt is still in and we will never get the Winged Eagle version back!!!

The Stanley Trophy?
I'm going to go ahead and assume they meant the Stanley Cup.

"WWE's is modeled after the old-school solid-fake-gold title belt that Ric Flair used to rock. Wooo!!!"
by the description it sounds like the world heavyweight title not the wwe title

Can't wait to see WWE talking about how the WWE title is worth as much as a gold medal.
DID YOU KNOW?

Clearly they were talking about the World heavyweight championship belt that WWE stole from WCW, not the WWE championship. That's why they said it was a copy of Ric Flair's old school belt.

How many people read the GQ article and realized they were talking about the World Heavyweight Championship?
First off, GQ: You FAIL at having a photo of the spinner belt, calling it the WWE title but then describing the OTHER belt when explaining why it's good.
Second, to Vince: READ THAT PIECE! If you want the WWE title to be cool again, give it a classic design. Thank you.

Sorry with WWE giving that title to every Tom, Dick and Harry nowadays, that title means squat. Same with the WHC. We should be seeing two or three champions per year tops!

The Stanley Cup is made of scrap metal from a junkyard (true story), it sucks just like hockey does.
