WWE Spokesman Defends Linda McMahon From Mainstream Reporter
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.03.2012
For slamming her WWE past...
- WWE spokesperson Robert Zimmerman leapt to Linda McMahon's defense after the Journal Inquirer's Chris Powell wrote a recent editorial referring to the source of Linda's money as "the pornography and mock violence of the wrestling business." Zimmerman issued a "formal reprimand" of Powell in a letter, noting that WWE offers PG programming to "our more than 300,000 fans in the State of Connecticut."
Well, so much for a Mick Foley match at WWE that is remotely entertaining. You know they're not gonna go anywhere near a true hardcore match as long as Linda's running, and this will make the company even more unlikely to push the boundaries.

Don't defend that bitch, she is one of the main reasons outside of Mattel and Chris Benoit why the WWE has become terrible and soft with this dumbass PG rating.

'from mainstream reporter' what does this mean? republicans blame the negative reception for their evil schemes on the 'liberal mainstream media'...is reporting on rich villains fucking people over always part of some mainstream scheme?...is it always liberal (as if such a thing existed in american politics) to point out the rich strangling the poor..,or is it just a way of distracting morons from engaging their brains? the news has been neutered so much, preventing any investivative reporting, is even reporting facts prohibited now?

Why would it matter what WWE broadcasts anyway? Arnold Schwarzenegger has played a murderer numerous times in films, but that doesn't mean he is one for real. He got voted in for governer.
I don't want Linda to win, but using her WWE past against her is lame.

I'm not pro or anti Linda (in fact I don't even live in Connecticut), but I do have a question: has anyone ever attacked a pro football player who has gone into politics?
I mean, football is rife with cheerleaders, sexy commercials, etc. Most importantly, it has REAL VIOLENCE. I know quite a few ballplayers have gone into politics after making their money in the NFL. I was just wondering if anyone goes after them like they do the McMahons.
Seems kind of like a double-standard to me.

God, I am sick and tired of hearing supposedly grown men whining and crying like spoiled brat crybaby bitches over a fucking TV rating that doesn't mean shit.
You people are an embarrassment with your constant whining. You make those 8 year olds or 12 year olds look more mature and grown up.
And I know you are sick of people calling you guys out about how whiny you are, but the truth fucking hurts

WWE's programming matters because it, in part, demonstrates her morality. It is fair for people to question if they want leaders who employ people for whom planning when to slash their faces open with razor blades was common.
Even nowadays a great example is the walking eating disorder KK who wears less clothing than divas did in the Attitude heyday when Bra & Panty matches were the norm. Or the numerous guys who take a couple months off, be it for "wear & tear" or injuries, so they can run a cycle or two.
And if one of you e-tards spins the "but Linda doesn't run the show, she doesn't book the matches, she has no creative input" line then put on a Batman suit and hang yourselves. A politician (hell, anyone) who owns a company that knowingly runs sweatshops in Thailand is responsible for that... No difference.

A cheap shot, for lack of any other way to describe it. That's what happens when somebody has nothing else to go on for a topic to write about.
