WWE Raw Rating
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.07.2012

- Last night's episode of WWE Raw drew a 3.25 rating with 4.62 million viewers, down from last week's 3.55 and 5.22 million viewers. The show was, outside of last week, the highest-rated episode since November 12th. The first hour opened with 4.80 million viewers and then dropped dramatically to 4.44 million viewers in the second hour. It's the fifteenth out of the last sixteen Raws to drop from the first to second hour.

The show ranked #2 in overall viewers on cable TV (behind Pawn Stars), #2 in the male 18-49 demographic and #1 in adults & males 18-34 and males 12-34.

Why doesn't the network just allow them to broadcast an hour earlier?

losing viewers in the 2nd hour probably isn't as bad of a thing as some think. probably a lot of families put their kids to bed at 10 and turn the channel. i mean for the cena fan base (elementary school kids), staying up til 11:00 is probably not happening

The WWE should make the Pawn Star character the new GM of RAW.

What is the appeal of Pawn Stars? It seriously sounds like the least watchable thing ever.

I swear the whole of the icw is utterly useless.

losing 600K viewers is big, if you look at the average from last week and the second hour they lost over 3/4 of a million viewers.

That in and of itself is a major red flag.

While USA will obviously never do anything negative to RAW they cant be very happy, and I am sure they are having to adjust advertising costs because of this.

It's been around this range for as long as I can remember now. Well, obviously I remember higher ratings during the Attitude era, but that's been a long time now.

Its easy people tune in for the first hour hoping to see something good and when they dont get it they change the channel people will only listen to Cole Johnny ace and HHH so long before they give up on the show and the sooner they get that the better. Cena is also tiresome but popular and using him to keep the crowd interested doesnt work if it is the same thing over and over. Also if you are going to bother to have a woman's wrestling division have one that doesn't suck more skill less thrill(T&A) because no one cares about a pretty face that put on matches that rate abortion status.

Did you eat depleted uranium as a child or do you just like being the middle between wes krik and spencer?

Eh who cares. The Jericho angle where he claims to be the Best in The World, and Punk being the Best is perfect. it doesn't have to be intricate and swervy just good. Its like Darrelle Revis vs. Wes Welker. The best athelete vs the best athelete.

And Taker had firmly become the best Wrestling character of all time. His Freddy Kreuger like obsessing in his lair over the fight is great. I mean I wish he was going against Shawn Michaels, but who doesn't. Its a truly intruiging feud that we don't know who is going to win. That doesn't happen often in wrestling.
