USA Today Snubs John Cena
Posted by Larry Csonka on 02.09.2012
Poor John…
- In today's edition of USA Today, they mentioned the celebrities that will be involved in the Daytona 500 festivities. They mentioned model Kate Upton and Glee's Jane Lynch, who are there as part of the promotion for the upcoming Three Stooges movie. But the article did not mention John Cena, who will be the guest "starter," waving the green flag.
Cena will get his respect when he beats the rock at WM28.

Ugh, why are they having someone from Glee involved with Nascar??? Fucking Fox

Probably cause he ruined wrestling forever.

Yeah that will help since the Daytona 500 is on February 26th... 5 weeks BEFORE his Wrestlemania match with The Great One.

Yeah, right. The guy has been pushed non-stop for almost a decade now and is still unknown outside of wrestling. Winning one match won't change that.

Cena will use this in his heel turn

I don't how this can be construed as a snub. It's not like it's some huge sign of disrespect not being invited in the same capacity as those two actresses. Cena doesn't need USA Today to talk about him. But I bet more people will attend to see Cena as a speck in the distance waving a green flag than they are people who are there to see Kate Upton and Jane Lynch.

It's because Cena is barely a celebrity. No one besides wrestling fans care about him.

How?
"I hate you fans because nobody outside of wrestling knows who I am!!!"
That's a great way to spark interest... or not.

Cena is a vanilla performer. I'm so tired of this guys act it makes me want to change the channel everytime he comes on. GO FUCKING HEEL ALREADY!

A lesbian who stars on the gayest show known to man at the Daytona 500? How much security will she have?

That's funny, because I'm a wrestling fan and I couldn't give two shits about Kate Upton and whomever the hell that other nobody is.

This. He has zero crossover appeal.

"Ugh, why are they having someone from Glee involved with Nascar???"
Good question. But she was in a Nascar movie(Will Farrell's Talladega Nights) so there is a connection.

Daytona 500 and Jane Lynch/GLEE, what a great combo... NOT.

Look I know wrestlers are looked at as being the bottom of the barrel of celebrities but to snub John freaking Cena is just wrong. The guy is a much bigger celeb than alot of these reality show rejects that get shoved down the public's throats and he damn sure does WAY more than they do also.He is a genuine inspiration to millions of kids around the world and does ALOT for charity.I know he's a wrestler which means he mind as well be a murderer in the eyes of the general public but if there's one wrestler they need to respect, it's him. He's earned his.And this is coming from a guy who NEVER adds his two cents on John Cena.I guess this is more about the way wrestlers are treated more than it is about John Cena for me.As a matter of fact it is.I mean what's a celeb anyway?Someone who's famous one thing or another right? So why aren't wrestlers treated better as celebs.I mean some of them are on tv shows that are watch by millions of people arond the world and thousands live and in person.Fucking celebs are made every day just by making one video of them doing something stupid and putting it on YouTube and I think wrestlers should be treated with more respect than what they get.I know they're not saving the world or anything but the same could be said of about 90% of "celebrities".Atleast wrestlers put their bodies on the line for their fans.
