The reason this feud sucks is because bringing in Attitude Era stars to contend with PG Era stars is ... boring. The PG star (Cena) is doing his regular thing (that crowds hate) and The Attitude Star (The Rock) has to tone himself down because his entire gimmick isn't PG. It's ridiculous.
