WWE PPV Buyrates: Survivor Series Does Well, Overall PPV Down

Survivor Series featuring the Rock is the only PPV that gained buys...
- WWE released their fourth quarter financials today and revealed that the four PPVs last quarter did less combined buys than the same four in 2010. Only the Survivor Series did more buys in 2011 than 2010.
* October: Hell in a Cell: 210,000 buys in 2010, 182,000 buys in 2011 (-28,000)
* October: Vengeance/Bragging Rights: 137,000 buys in 2010, 121,000 buys in 2011 (-16,000)
* November: Survivor Series: 244,000 in 2010, 281,000 in 2011 (+37,000)
* December: TLC: 195,000 in 2010, 179,000 in 2011 (-16,666)
* 2010 buys: 786,000
* 2011 buys: 763,000
That is a drop of 23,000 PPV buys in the quarter. The Survivor Series, which featured The Rock, was the only PPV to do more buys in 2011 than in 2010.
