WWE News: Tensai Possibly Being Further Repackaged, House Show Numbers
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 05.30.2012

- WWE officials are considering Lord Tensai a "flop" and have reportedly done so ever since his pinfall win over John Cena at the Raw in London on April 16. Officials weren't impressed with his victory and have since curtailed his push. Tensai was originally supposed to face Cena at Over the Limit and No Way Out, but due to the poor internal reaction to his main event match, Big Show was penciled into his spot. The company also cancelled plans to have him team with John Laurinaitis against Cena on House Shows, with Big Show stepping in there too.

Tensai has undergone some tweaks to his character in recent weeks with his robe vanishing, the "Lord" taken out of his name and a more aggressive style showing in the ring. It is said that more changes could be in the works, as there was talk of such in the past week.

- WWE SmackDown scored the following live event attendance figures:

May 23 in Poughkeepsie, New York: Sellout crowd of 2,500 with $110,000 gate
May 24 in Hermosillo, Mexico: Sellout crowd of 3,000 with $90,000 gate
May 25 in Aguascalientes, Mexico: 4,000 with $90,000 gate
May 26 in Guadalajara, Mexico: 4,500 with $125,000 gate
May 27 in Lake Charles, Louisiana: 3,000 with $100,000 gate
