Why Was The Claire Lynch Storyline Dropped In TNA?

TNA finished up the AJ Styles-Claire Lynch storyline last night on Impact Wrestling, because the actress playing Claire Lynch quit the company.

There is a longer version of the story, which explains why she left. Several TNA sources say she gave immediate notice she was quitting after online fans discovered her real name and began slamming her LinkedIn.com and Youtube.com accounts with hateful messages about her acting, her character’s actions and her character’s appearance.

She is a working actor (who was not signed to a contract by TNA) who still auditioned for other roles, and didn’t want potential employers/casting directors finding the hateful messages, which were described as “some of the most classless garbage you’d expect to see, just low rent message board loser stuff.”

She quit the company and turned off all of her professional accounts.
