Results from the WWE Smackdown House Show report in Kingston, ON on
Sunday September 9th.

Not a great crowd. I remember 6 years ago when people were camping out
for 8 blocks to get tickets. You could still get front row seats at showtime.

Also via video, Booker T asks you to tweet whether you want a street fight or a 2/3 falls fight using hashtags. I was curious so after the event I searched, and only SIX people tweeted.

Match #1: Antonio Cesaro defeated Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes. He pinned Sin Cara. This was easily MOTN. Just an extremely well set-up match with some great spots – had a great mix of comedy and action set at a fast pace. Sadly it was mostly downhill from there.

Match #2: Roman Reigns defeated Health Slater. Bad match. Slater dominated the whole match with very basic offense and no energy, then Reigns sneaked the win at the end.

Match #3: Tyson Kidd/Justin Gabriel defeated Johnny Curtis/Michael McGillicutty. Decent match. Lot of interplay with Curtis/McGillicutty
euding before hugging it out.

Match #4: Nattie defeated Alicia Fox. Another poor match as they did lots of stalling tactics and very little wrestling.

Match #5: Randy Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler. I don’t think it was possible for Orton to do any less work. He looked completely bored, and they did practically nothing except stalling and rest holds, before heading into the 2 minute finish sequence.

Intermission. Merchandise prices were crazy. Masks that are $49 on WWEShop were $75 here. T-shirts that are $20 on WWEShop were $35. I guess WWE is still oblivious to the US-CDN Exchange rate.

Match #6: Ryback defeated Jinder Mahal. Absolute stinker of a match. Mahal was on offense for most of it, and it lasted a good 10-15 minutes. The crowd was so into it at the start too(Ryback was up there with Sheamus/Orton in terms of pops and signs) and they just died a slow death.

Match #7: Wade Barrett defeated Ted Dibiase. Decent match, although Barrett’s finisher was a punch.

Match #8: Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio in a street fight. They wrestled in the ring for the most part, and the street fight aspect consisted of them hitting each other with a kendo stick a few times, and the finishing sequence involving a chair(Del Rio whipped Sheamus into corner, ran from one corner to the other with the chair and hurt himself, and Sheamus slammed him for the win).

It was still an enjoyable show, despite so many matches featuring the generic heel stalling at the opening. Got really tiring after awhile.
