How'd the boys in the back take the injury?
PWInsider reports that the reaction to John Cena's injury is actually positive. While Cena will be ready to compete before Hell in A Cell, friends say this injury is a blessing in disguise.
Cena has been banged up for a while now and five weeks out of the ring will help him recover through minor injuries. Cena rarely takes time off and usually competes with while hurt. The surgery allows his body to rest, which is important with the Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble coming up.
- WWE continues its weekend tour tonight and tomorrow. RAW will take place at the Kansas Expocenter in Topeka, Kansas tonight with bell time at 7:30 PM. Sunday's show at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas will have a bell time of 5 PM. The shows will include CM Punk vs The Big Show in a steel cage, US champion Antonio Cesaro vs Zack Ryder and tag team champions Daniel Bryan & Kane vs Kofi Kingston & R-Truth. Punk is currently at the Comic-Con Ohio in Columbus.
Smackdown will hit the Taylor County Coliseum in Abilene, Texas with a bell time of 7:30 tonight. Tomorrow, it's the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas with a bell time of 6 PM. The card will not include Randy Orton, who is filming 12 Rounds: Reloaded. Stars include World Hvt. champion Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, Ryback, IC champion The Miz, Sin Cara, Cody Rhodes, Natalya, and Kaitlyn.
