- WWE is advertising the "Largest Lumberjack Match in WWE history" between John Cena and CM Punk for the WWE Title at the October 22nd Raw taping as a dark match main event, as well as Sheamus vs. The Big Show in a Last Man Standing match for the World Title.
- The currently-advertised matches for this week's Raw house shows are:
* CM Punk vs. The Big Show for the WWE Championship in a Steel Cage Match
* Team Hell No vs. Kofi Kingston and R-Truth for the WWE Tag Team Championships
* Zack Ryder vs. Antonio Cesaro for the US Championship
* Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn for the Divas Championship
- The currently-advertised matches for this week's Smackdown house shows are:
* Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Last Man Standing Match.
* Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. The Miz and Cody Rhodes
* Ryback vs. Jinder Mahal in a brutal WWE Grudge Match.
