UPDATED: Will TNA Be Cutting Back On Their PPVs?
UPDATE: The Wrestling Observer reports that, as previously reported, two PPVs will be cut from TNA’s 2013 lineup. The site reports that Against All Odds (February) and No Surrender (September) will be cut, meaning that there will be two months between Genesis and Lockdown and then two months between Hardcore Justice and Bound For Glory.
This would change the 2013 Bound for Glory series, as the semi-finals and finals were held at No Surrender and the matches would likely take place on Impact instead. This would allow them to have a big episode of Impact to set up their main PPV in BFG.
ORIGINAL: According to Pwinsider.com, the feeling is that TNA moving the Lockdown PPV to March is a sign that TNA is going to pull back on the number of PPVs they promote a year. For some time Dixie Carter has long been vocal about not wanting to promote monthly PPVs, but couldn’t change that due to existing contracts with the PPV companies. While nothing has been officially announced, the feeling is that the change will be made.
