WWE Scouting Two Top NCAA Heavyweights
Posted by Larry Csonka on 12.06.2012

- Gerald Brisco attended this past weekend's college wrestling meet between the University of Minnesota and Oklahoma State University. While there, Brisco was on a scouting mission for WWE, watching two of the top heavyweight wrestlers in the country, Tony Nelson (Minnesota) and Alan Gelogaev (Oklahoma).

Nelson is a junior and the defending NCAA champion. WWE has been staying away from signing talent before they graduate, so he wil likely not be officially offered a deal until next year.

Gelogaev is from Moscow, Russia and was a favorite to win the NCAA tournament last year but could not compete due to injury.
