Various News: No TNA Shows This Weekend, Waltman Talks Lyn Retirement, More

– Al Snow will be wrestling Billy Gunn for Great Lakes Championship Wrestling. Snow is a trainer and agent for TNA, and Gunn was recently hired as a trainer for WWE NXT.

– There are no TNA live events this weekend. The company is off until the December 29th and 30th events in Poughkeepsie and Albany, New York.

– Former WWE wrestler Johnny Jeter of the Spirit Squad turns 31 years old today.

– There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic this weekend.

– Sean Waltman posted the following via Twitter about Jerry Lynn’s retirement match..

“I set the date a side. But , unfotunately it’s not happening. Sad that I won’t be there. If not for Jerry there would be no X pac

F That. If anyone’s putting Jerry Lynn out of his misery, it’s going to be me. I hope he’d do it for me if I needed to be put down. Im healthy, quit smoking, and about to get in the best shape of my life. I realize I still have some great matches left in me.I just got used to assuming the role of old beat up veteran, But that s–t is getting old . Im a natural born wrestler.”
