WWE, Wrestling Stars React to Connecticut School Shooting
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 12.14.2012

- Several people within the wresting world have commented on Twitter to Friday's school shooting in Connecticut. WWE, of course, is located in Stamford.

WWE: "WWE is saddened by today's tragedy in #Newtown. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."

Dixie Carter: "Devastating news. Deepest sympathies to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School. Prayers to all who have senselessly lost love ones."

John Cena: "I cannot believe the news I am hearing out of CT. My heart and sympathy to all the victims. Such a tragic day. #staystrongnewtown."

Jim Ross: "Wife Jan and I lived in Connecticut four yrs, wonderful people. This horrific, school shooting unimaginable. What if it were your kids? So sad."

Velvet Sky: "Heartbroken at the amount of children that were shot and killed at the elementary shooting in CT this morning. Having a 5-year-old nephew, this hits closer to home thinking it could've been his school. The evil in this world is at an all time high and instances like killing innocent children makes me sick. God Bless these children and families affected."

- WWE also posted the following to Twitter:

"In light of today's events, tomorrow's Zack Ryder signing at @MicrosoftStore at the Danbury Fair in Danbury, Conn. has been canceled."
