As previously reported, Alberto Del Rio's face turn is due to WWE wanting a reliable and likeable Mexican star. The company felt that it was time to turn Del Rio due to the fact that Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio both appearing off and on over the past year due to injuries and suspensions. The general feeling is that keeping Ricardo Rodriguez paired with Del Rio will help the Del Rio face turn go smoother.
