– Combat Zone Wrestling are upset over not being invited to the National Pro Wrestling Day event on February 2. They announced they will hold an Ultraviolent Underground event on iPPV the same day. Owner DJ Hyde thought they would best be served putting on something different.

Since so many of their regulars are set for the PWG DDT tournament in California, the company will use their January show to showcase names that haven’t had the chance to break out or work for the promotion.

– Tommy Dreamer, Matt Borne and Diamond Dallas Page will work for Matt Rivera’s Traditional Championship Wrestling on January 4 and 5 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the Convention Center. Dreamer will fight Borne (as Doink) for the opening round of the tournament to crown the promotion’s first International Champion. The rest of the first round includes Alan Steele vs. John Saxon, Michael Barry vs. Titan and Lars vs. Greg Anthony. DDP will appear as a special guest on night two. Bobby Eaton runs the locker room and often appears as well.

– Colt Cabana recently interviewed Jake Roberts on his Art of Wrestling podcast which you can find here.

– Brian Blair was recently featured in an article for Tampa Bay Online that looks at his wrestling and political careers.

– The Rock n’ Roll Express will appear at Big Wayne’s Gym in Rock Hill, South Carolina on December 29th, 2012 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
