UPDATED: El Generico Reportedly Signs With WWE
UPDATE: Pwinsider.com has confirmed the first report from PW Ponderings that WWE has signed El Generico to a deal. They note that one of the reasons WWE was so interested in Generico was that he speaks a number of different languages, which would be an asset for international markets.
The report also states that Generico’s signing is part of a bigger WWE plan, as the company has a number of names on their radar that they want to lock in for deals. Finally, they note that the signing was a move by Triple H.
ORIGINAL: PW Ponderings reports that several sources, including two promoters and a top independent talent, have confirmed to them that El Generico has signed with WWE. Generico has has been working in PWG, EVOLVE, CHIKARA and ROH recently.
