DGUSA News: Updates On El Generico, Brian Kendrick, Young Bucks, iPPV And More

January 17, 2013 | Posted by Joseph Lee

– El Generico has now finished with Dragon Gate USA as he is going to WWE. The promotion guessed the signing was happening and used him in his last appearances to build up Samuray del Sol as a partner and opponent.

– The Young Bucks are now full time with DGUSA starting with next weekend’s shows in California. They will be getting a huge push.

– Brian Kendrick will wrestle next week, even if the company has not advertised him. They recently endorsed his wrestling school in California.

– There are no plans for a Low Ki return due to his Japanese schedule.

– There are some changes coming for how DGUSA handles iPPV costs. They had some enhancement costs at the beginning of the year (likely for their Roku channel) so the price the day of the show will be raised. It will still stay reduced for the pre-orders.

– The January 26 and 27 events in Huntington Park, CA will be iPPVs. The January 25 event, with John Morrison vs Akira Tozawa is not confirmed as as an iPPV due to potential Internet connection issues. If it can’t be streamed live, it will be edited live and uploaded to stream within 24-48 hours.

– Tickets for the DGUSA and EVOLVE events are selling ahead of what they were this time last year.

– The promotion will run a seminar/tryout on January 26. For details, email [email protected].

-Here is the trailer for the EVOLVE 12: Fox vs Callihan DVD. It features AR Fox vs. Sami Callihan in the first ever Evolution’s End, El Generico vs. Ricochet, Fit Finlay vs. Jon Davis, Low Ki vs. Jigsaw, Johnny Gargano & Samuray Del Sol vs. Chuck Taylor & Silas Young.
