Man Who Got Shot in the Eye is More Upset That CM Punk Lost the WWE Title
ABC affiliate WSYR featured a story on their newscast last night about a local man, 77-year-old Thomas Dotterer, who last week was shot in the eye during the robbery of a liquor store he owns in Syracuse, NY.
Dotterer, who will likely lose his vision, is back to work already, but noted that losing the eye wasn’t the worst thing that happened to him in the last week. No, it was The Rock defeating CM Punk for the WWE title.
The anchor covering the story sent messages to Punk and Rock via Twitter and Punk wrote back asking if the story was true and that he “needed to see the footage”. They shared the footage with Punk, who responded, “Tom Dotterer is amazing. He’s got my respect. If he needs anything from me let me know.”
