EVOLVE Tournament Seeding Update, Promotion Announces Changes

February 8, 2013 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– EVOLVE announced today that will stop focusing on Win/Loss Records after ending the concept during the WrestleCon Weekend shows over WrestleMania Weekend in April. They are doing so because it has become too difficult to make records count if they are not running enough shows and do not have a set roster.

– The EVOLVE tournament seeding are as follows: (1 – bye) Chuck Taylor, (2 – bye) Ricochet, (3) A.R. Fox, (4) announced next week. Fox will face the #4 seed in a first round match on April 5. The winner of that match will then face #2 Ricochet to advance to the finals. On the other side of the bracket, there will be a four-way free-style match to determine who faces Taylor. Del Sol and Sami Callihan have been confirmed for that match.

– Here is an excerpt from today’s official announcement…

“EVOLVE will still put all the emphasis on in-ring action. This means that EVOLVE will still follow the inherent rules of sportsmanship. If it would get someone suspended, fined, or banned in boxing or MMA, it will do the same in EVOLVE. This includes physical contact before and after the bell, physical contact with officials and interference.”
