Posted by Larry Csonka on 02.12.2013

According to Pwinsider.com, James Jefferson, who worked as Spike of the MOD Squad for Jim Crockett Promotions and later in WCW, passed away on January 28th in South Carolina. Jefferson and his brother Mack began working as enhancement talent in the Crockett Mid-Atlantic promotion in the early 80s, billed as the Jeffers. They then took the biker cop gimmick, the MOD Squad, Spike and Basher, in 1986. They also worked in Florida, Mid-Southern (Memphis) and The Central States area during their time.

Our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Jefferson.
