With Slammiversary XI in the record books, this week’s live episode of IMPACT Wrestling will focus on the fallout and many questions that need answering. What does Sting have to say about no one helping him out when The Aces & Eights cost him the TNA World Title? Although he retained the belt, does Bully Ray have something to say about his group’s poor performance overall during the show? Is Chris Sabin content with being X-Division Champion or does he have eyes on a bigger prize?

Also on this week’s show, MMA fighter/latest TNA signee Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be on hand to discuss his future with the company, new Tag Team Champions James Storm & Gunner team up with new X-Division Champ Chris Sabin to take on Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, & Kenny King, and the 2013 Bound For Glory Series officially kicks off. Who will join Jay Bradley in the hunt for main event glory? Find out this week on IMPACT Wrestling.

SLAMMIVERSARY XI OPENING: Clips from this past Sunday’s PPV play, including Kurt Angle’s impending induction into the TNA Hall of Fame, and Bully Ray retaining the TNA World Title over Sting, despite “The Icon” surviving a piledriver onto the exposed wooden portion of the ring.

We go live to the arena in Duluth, GA as Mike Tenay welcomes the home audience and hypes the debut of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The Aces & Eights theme kicks up, bringing out TNA World Champion Bully Ray. He stops to embrace Taz then yells at Tenay before getting into the ring. Ray grabs a mic and says that obviously the crowd is very happy to see him. Ray introduces himself: “I am the TNA World Heavyweight Champion…I come from God’s Country, Hell’s Kitchen New York City…I am the guy who defeated Sting at Slammiversary…I am Bully Ray”. The crowd immediately boos, and boos LOUDLY, when he finishes the intro. Ray says Slammiversary hasn’t been too kind to Sting; last year was the first time he was jumped by The Aces & Eights and this year he single-handedly defeated him. Ray says that Sting might even retire because of it, then says TNA has no more heroes for he has destroyed everybody. Ray says there’s only one thing left and says he deserves to be in the TNA Hall of Fame.

Ray tries to invite Dixie Carter to the ring, but he’s quickly interrupted by GM Hulk Hogan. Hogan air guitars his way out, a glove covering his severely burned hand. Hogan tells the production team to stop the music and tells Ray that it sounds like Hulkamania country (the crowd cheers in agreement). Hogan steps in the ring and asks if he heard Ray say there’s no more competition left in Impact Wrestling. Ray says he heard him, Dad. Hogan begs to differ and announces that the Bound For Glory Series will be going down all summer, saying that the 12 participants will be announced on next week’s special “Selection show”. Hogan says that tonight, here in “Atlanta” (Duluth), Bully Ray is going to face…JEFF HARDY. “The Enigma” walks out as the crowd cheers. Ray exits the ring and tells Hogan that he can’t just do that. The crowd chants for Hardy as Hogan says he can do whatever he wants. Hogan says that while it’s not for the World Title, it will be a ladder match. Instead of the belt, however, the prize at the top of the ladder will be a hammer (which Hardy pulls out of his pants…not that kind of hammer, pervs). Hogan sums it all up and says whoever gets to the hammer first gets to use it. Hogan’s theme hits as Ray and Taz protest.

BFG SERIES VIDEO: A video plays hyping this summer’s Bound For Glory Series, saying that 12 will enter but only 1 will survive the toughest competition in wrestling. Next week the 11 spots remaining will be filled (Jay Bradley already has a spot).

Chavo Guerrero Jr. is talking backstage with Hernandez and tells him they’ve both been entered into the BFG Series. Hernandez thanks Guerrero for being a teacher and extends his hand, but Guerrero says he didn’t teach him everything and walks off without shaking it.

Hernandez makes his way out for the first match, a BFG Series qualifying match. His opponent, tag team partner, Chavo Guerrero Jr., makes his way out second.

Match #1: Hernandez Vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. in a BFG Series Qualifying Match

Guerrero tries to take Hernandez off his feet with a snap mare but he powers out and sends Guerrero the mat with a shoulderblock. The two circle one another then Guerrero goes for a waistlock but Hernandez counters with a wristlock. Guerrero flips out and applies an armbar of his own, immediately transitioning into an armdrag takedown. Both men regroup and lock up, with Hernandez immediately backing Guerrero into the corner. Hernandez breaks clean but Guerrero attacks with three European uppercuts. Guerrero attempts a corner monkey flip but Hernandez throws him off. Guerrero gets the last laugh with a dropkick that Hernandez slowly walks into for the first 2-count of the match.

Hernandez momentarily gains control with a slam but misses the follow-up splash, allowing Guerrero to hit a senton of his own for a 2-count. Guerrero applies an armbar, also applying a body scissors for added punishment. Hernandez gets to his feet and lifts Guerrero off the mat, placing him on the top turnbuckle. Guerrero kicks him away and goes for a splash but Hernandez catches him and hits the release bear hug suplex. Guerrero ducks a sledge hammer but gets the second one right in the sternum. Hernandez follows up with a corner splash and an overhead backbreaker for the 1…2…Guerrero gets his feet on the ropes. Hernandez attempts another corner splash but is sent to the apron. Hernandez knocks Guerrero away but misses the springboard shoulderblock. Guerrero hits 2 of the 3 Amigos then settles for a corner cannonball instead when he’s thrown off. Guerrero heads to the top and goes for the Frog Splash but Hernandez gets the knees up. Hernandez picks Guerrero up and goes for the Border Toss but Guerrero reverses it into a sunset flip. Hernandez rolls through and covers Guerrero for the 1…2…3!

Winner [via Pinfall]: Hernandez (4:57)

POST-MATCH: Hernandez and Guerrero shake hands in a show of respect.

Former TV Champion Devon makes his way out to The Aces & Eights theme. Devon grabs a mic and heads into the ring as Taz says he was screwed on Sunday. Devon tells the crowd they should sit down and shut the hell up when he gets into the ring. Devon says he’s going to make this short and simple and says Abyss stole something from him Sunday and wants it back. He calls “The Monster” out but out comes Joseph Park instead. Park says what Devon did to him on Sunday was robbery and he’s done being bullied. Park gets in the ring and says he’s going to do what he should’ve done a long time ago. Park sweeps the legs and hits a series of right hands. Park takes Devon down with back to back shoulderblocks but Devon fights back by cracking him in the skull with the mic. Devon takes it to Park with a series of right hands and sends him out to the floor with a forearm. Devon follows him out and sends him skull-first into the ring post. Devon grabs a chair and goes to hit Park, but Abyss’ music hits so he slides into the ring to meet “The Monster”. Devon grabs a mic and yells for Abyss to get out here right now but the music dies down. Devon says he’ll find his ass backstage. Devon stops to hit Park with another right hand then leaves to the back. Park checks his lip and sees that it’s busted. The switch goes off in Park’s head as we go to commercial.

Devon is backstage with Knux, looking for Abyss. They walk through a set of doors to continue their search.

Robbie E makes his way out for the next match and asks for a mic beforehand. Robbie E says it’s been no secret that in the 2012 BFG Series he was the MVP, bro. Robbie E says he beat Jeff Hardy and got FIVE points. Robbie E says that after he wins his qualifying match tonight, the sky is the limit as he might get 10, 20, or more points. Robbie E tells whoever his opponent is is going down. His opponent, Samoa Joe makes his way out.

Match #2: Samoa Joe Vs. Robbie E in a BFG Series Qualifying Match

Robbie E tries to attack before the bell but Joe immediately overpowers him, peppering him with strikes in the corner, followed by the corner splash/jumping kick combo. Joe places Robbie E on the top turnbuckle but he fights back with an eye rake and a couple of forearms. He attempts a crossbody but Joe easily sidesteps it and hits a running knee in the corner, followed the chop to the back/kick to the face, and a kneedrop to the back. Joe places Robbie E on the top turnbuckle, hits the Muscle Buster, then locks on the Rear-Naked Choke for the easy victory.

TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James meets up with Velvet Sky and gives her a gift: a TNA scratch ticket. James apologizes for not getting involved last week, saying that Taryn Terrell stole her day-saving moment before she could. Sky accepts James’ apology then says they should have their rematch tonight since they both look ready to go. James says she actually has a match tonight already and says to talk to her when she’s ready and healthy, ignoring Sky’s protests as she walks off.

“Rampage” Has Arrived

Jeremy Borash introduces Quinton “Rampage” Jackson to the ring to address the TNA audience. Jackson walks to the ring with an evil look in his eye…then stops to slap hands with the kids sitting by the ramp. Borash welcomes Jackson to IMPACT Wrestling. Jackson thanks him and says he started off as a wrestling fan which not a lot of people may know. Jackson says he’s here to be the best but in order to do that he needs to beat the best. His speech is interrupted by Kurt Angle who makes his way out and stares Jackson down. Angle says if he wants to beat the best he doesn’t have to look any further because he’s staring right at him. Angle says Jackson might be the best in the cage but the ring is his world and someday when Jackson is ready he’ll have to go through him. Angle and Jackson go nose to nose for a moment then shake hands. They jaw for a bit before Angle exits the ring and Jackson watches him leave before peacing the crowd to his theme song (howls and everything).

Earlier on IMPACT… Hulk Hogan announces Hardy/Ray for tonight in a Ladder match, with a hammer hanging over the ring.

Jeff Hardy is shown backstage and says that while tonight isn’t for the title, he and his Creatures will be satisfied. We then see Chris Sabin, James Storm, and Gunner headed to the ring. The six-man tag is next.

Bully Ray catches up with Mr. Anderson backstage. He asks him where D-Lo is and Anderson says that he’s still out with a “headache”. Anderson says the VP spot is now open and Ray asks him if he has any suggestions. Anderson remains silent. Ray then turns his attention to Jeff Hardy and his match tonight, then talks about how The Aces & Eights aren’t being represented in the BFG Series. Ray says he needs to take care of it tonight. Anderson asks Ray if he needs them to assist him in the match tonight. Ray tells him that a good VP would know how to make that call. Anderson asks if that means he’s VP.

The team of Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, & Kenny King make their way out Aries’ music as Tenay tells everyone how they all came up short in their championship matches (King himself losing his title). Their opponents, new X-Division Champ Chris Sabin and new Tag Team Champions James Storm & Gunner make their way out second to Storm’s music. Christy Hemme takes a second to introduce Sabin. We see stills of Sabin winning the belt on Sunday and hype up the fact Hogan said Sabin could cash it in this summer for a shot at the World Title.

Match #3: *TNA X-Division Champion* Chris Sabin & *TNA Tag Team Champions* James Storm & Gunner Vs. Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, & Kenny King

Sabin and King start off, the former taking the latter down with rapid fire armdrag takedowns before settling on an armbar. King gets to his feet and backs Sabin into the ropes. Sabin comes off an Irish whip with a headscissors takeover, then Storm and Gunner get their shots in. Aries and Roode attack Sabin from behind, bringing in the Tag Champs who help clear the ring. Sabin takes the opportunity as the heel trio converge and takes them out with a springboard splash. Sabin rolls King back in but gets hit from behind by Aries. King chokes Sabin with his boot and tags Roode in.

Roode chops Sabin and drops him with a suplex, following up with a kneedrop for 2. Sabin reverses an Irish whip and rolls through a sunset flip attempt, tagging in Storm. Storm takes it to Aries and King on the apron then goes after Roode in the ring. Storm connects with an inverted atomic drop followed by a right hook. Storm gets sent to the apron and hits an enziguri to the back of the head. Storm ducks a clothesline attempt by King but gets dropped throat-first on the top rope by Aries who then tags in. Roode slingshots Storm into Aries, who connects with a forearm then hits a springboard elbow for 2. Aries rakes Storm’s eyes across the top rope and tags back out to Roode. Roode gets his shots in and tags in to King. King suplexes Storm to the mat and hits a springboard legdrop for a 2-count.

King immediately tags out to Aries who connects with a left hook as King holds Storm’s arms. Aries sends Storm face-first into Roode’s boot then tags in his partner. They whip Storm into the ropes but Storm sends Aries flying head-first into Roode’s…unmentionables. Gunner gets the hot tag and takes it to Aries and King, whipping the latter into the former and following up with a splash. Gunner grabs King and hits a slingshot suplex for the 1…2…Aries and Roode break the count. Aries and Roode whip Gunner into the corner but Gunner sends Aries to the floor with a backdrop. Roode, however, gets the last laugh with a spinebuster. Storm runs in and drops Roode with a neckbreaker, but is taken out by a Missile dropkick from Aries. Aries looks to fly but Sabin drills him with an enziguri. King goes for a kick but Sabin ducks and hits a tornado DDT followed by his finisher for the 1…2…3.

Brooke Hogan is backstage throwing compliments at Taryn Terrell. Terrell says Gail Kim had it coming to her Sunday then says she’s focused on being Knockouts Champion. Brooke gives her props and Terrell awkwardly asks if she’s still in love with Bully Ray. Brooke shoos that question off and Terrell apologizes before leaving

TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James makes her way out for the next match. Her opponent, Gut Check winner Taeler Hendrix, makes her way out second to an Irish-y theme.

Match #4: *TNA Knockouts Champion* Mickie James Vs. Taeler Hendrix in a Non-Title Match

James backs Hendrix into the corner and ODB separates them, James congratulating herself for the clean break. They lock up and Hendrix applies a wristlock. James cartwheels out and reverses into one of her own but Hendrix takes her down with a fireman’s carry. James gets the crowd to clap for Hendrix in a very condescending manner before they lock up again. James applies a side headlock. Hendrix tries to run out but James keeps it applied and they fall to their knees. Hendrix whips James off into the ropes and gets taken down with a shoulderblock. James cartwheels over Hendrix but Hendrix bends back to avoid a clothesline and hits a dropkick for a 2-count. Hendrix says she was “that” close and they shake hands. Hendrix yells “OVW!” to the crowd before they lock up again. James applies a waistlock, but Hendrix breaks it with her elbow. James reverses an Irish whip but eats a kick to the midsection. Hendrix goes to the top but James complains about her knee to ODB. Hendrix gets off the top rope to check and gets decked with a right hand. James measures Hendrix and kicks her in the arm for the 1…2…3.

Devon and Knux are still looking around. Devon walks ahead and we see the shadow of Knux taken by the shadow of Abyss. Devon yells out to Knux who gets thrown at him. Abyss appears for real and sends Devon head-first into the wall. Abyss holds the TV Title and tells Devon he’s taking the belt into the abyss before walking away, leaving both men lying.

We see an image of Sting’s tweet sent earlier today about being sour no one came to his aid Sunday. Tenay announces that he’ll be on the show next week to address his future with TNA. Also announced for next week: Styles/Angle in a BFG Series Qualifier and Bad Influence Vs. Storm/Gunner in a tag team BFG Series qualifier (the winning team gets 2 spots in the series).

Main Event: Jeff Hardy Vs. *TNA World Champion* Bully Ray in a Non-Title Ladder Match

Ray stops to talk with Taz and eats a springboard crossbody to start the match. Hardy rolls Ray back into the ring and connects with a series of right hands, following up with a flying corner splash. Ray reverses a corner Irish whip but Hardy catches him with a headscissors. Ray rolls to the outside and Hardy connects with a baseball slide, sending him into the announce table. Hardy concludes the flurry with a flying clothesline from the apron as the crowd chants Hardy’s name. Hardy regroups and slams Ray head-first into the ring steps repeatedly. Hardy looks under the ring and pulls out a ladder. Hardy slides the ladder in and poses for the crowd, allowing Ray to sweep the legs. Ray slams his knee on the apron then flings him to the announce table as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

Ray connects with a corner splash as we come back from break, then poses as the crowd boos. Ray clubs the fallen Hardy then works his right knee over to limit his ability to climb the ladder. Hardy fights back with a series of strikes but Ray regains the advantage with a very high back bodydrop. Ray grabs the ladder and drops it over the fallen Hardy then follows up with an elbowdrop. Ray yells that he doesn’t need a hammer because he already has one (his fist).

Hardy gets to his knees and starts fighting back once more, but runs right into a big boot. Ray mocks Hulk Hogan a bit then circles his prey. Ray lifts Hardy up slowly and sets up for the Bully Bomb but Hardy escapes and connects with a DDT. Both men struggle to get to their feet and trade right hands once they accomplish this goal. Hardy wins the shootout and hits a flying forearm, followed by the inverted atomic drop, legdrop, and dropkick combo. Ray bails to the corner as Hardy gets to his feet and grabs the ladder. Hardy sets the ladder up and goes to the hammer but Ray gets up and pushes the ladder over. Hardy lands on his feet and gets the best of Ray, sending the ladder right into his unmentionables. Hardy climbs the ladder and reaches for the hammer but Ray pushes it down and Hardy lands on the ropes. Ray yells “MY BALLLLS!” at Taz then goes back to Hardy, who catches him with a jawbreaker followed by a clothesline.

Hardy climbs the ladder once more but Ray once again pushes the ladder down, sending Hardy into the corner. Ray gears up for a splash but eats an elbow followed by the Whisper in the Wind. Hardy gets the ladder in place and climbs once more. Hardy touches the hammer but Ray pulls the ladder out from under him, sending Hardy crashing to the canvas hard. Ray sets the ladder up then pulls Hardy to the corner. Ray sells the ball shot some more then heads up the ladder. Ray grabs the ladder and instantly gets “I’M GONNA MURDER SOMEONE” face. Ray climbs down and pushes the ladder away. He goes for a hammer shot but Hardy hits the Twist of Fate. Hardy grabs the hammer as Ray begs him not to do it. Ray ducks the hammer shots and runs to the back. Hardy lays on the ramp, clutching his leg. He calls for an official to help him to the back.

Winner: No Contest? (16:22)

POST-MATCH: Bully Ray searches backstage for his belt, then stops for a minute to rest. Hulk Hogan emerges from behind with a hammer but before he can hit him Brooke Hogan runs out to prevent it. Hulk stares his daughter down as Ray runs away and we cut to whatever movie SpikeTV is showing this week.
