Tons of News & Notes From The Recent Weekend of EVOLVE Shows

June 6, 2013 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– EVOLVE and DGUSA management were really happy with the quality of their live events over the weekend, with the feeling that the shows were the best set of EVOLVE shows to date

– AR Fox had a successful weekend as EVOLVE champion. The gimmick is that he is a fighting champion and pulls out new moves in every match.

– Samuray del Sol finished over the weekend and will be signing with WWE developmental. Gabe Sapolsky praised him to the locker room for being so giving and allowing Johnny Gargano to unmask him as part of the finish for his last night, feeling it gave Gargano more heat.

– The company is very high on Johnny Gargano’s work since turning, feeling he has really hit a great stride as a heel who’s acting like a babyface.

– Talents visiting at the shows were Briley Pierce, Chris Hero, Jason Harding, Sakamoto, Harry Smith, Yatsu, Tyson Kidd, Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, Daffney, and Sami Zayn.

– The crowds were small but the company drew exactly what they had expected to show up. They are planning a return to Florida in the fall.

– EITA and Tomahawk T.T. are booked for the NYC weekend on July 27th and 28th.

– The big problem on the weekend was for the EVOLVE 21 show. Sal Hamoaui had driven the 8 hours to test the Internet feed used for the iPPV and it worked fine. When they arrived at the venue the day of the show, they discovered that they no longer had a dedicated line for the feed. The company ended up offering refunds and other offers to make it up to those who ordered the show.
