Second Set of WWE House Show Results 06.29.13 – Cedar Rapids, Iowa

1. Sin Cara beat Cody Rhodes. A fun opening match. Cody did a good job drawing heat by mocking the mannerisms of Sin Cara, who was surprisingly over. (although there was a kid in my section yelling “Go, Rey, Go”). Sin Cara won with the senton.

2. AJ Lee (w/Big E Langston) pinned Kaitlyn to retain the WWE Divas Championship. A standard but entertaining match from these two. A good amount of chants for Big E Langston, who played college football at nearby University of Iowa. AJ retained with a roll-up. Langston stayed on the stage for a few extra seconds to a lot of cheers from the crowd.

3. The Great Khali defeated Damien Sandow. Sandow cut a promo stating that “Nothing important happens in Iowa,” but that his road to Money in the Bank would start there. Khali came out to a decent pop, and won with the Chop.

4. Randy Orton over Wade Barrett. A massive pop for Orton. He and Barrett had a very entertaining match, reminiscent of their rivalry from a few years ago. Barrett mocked Orton’s posing multiple times to good heat from the crowd. Orton performed the RKO out of nowhere for the 1-2-3.

5. Antonio Cesaro (w/Zeb Colter) beat Justin Gabriel. This was the only match that a pretty hot crowd had no reaction to, even getting a “This is Boring” chant. Cesaro won with a Neutralizer.

6. The Uso’s defeated Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. A great match. The Uso’s were really over with the crowd. They teased the hot tag at least four times before delivering, with the Uso’s winning with the splash.

7. Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez) defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the World Heavyweight Title in a No DQ match. Ziggler was way over with the crowd, but they still chanted along with Ricardo’s introduction. Ziggler hit the Zig-Zag, but Ricardo hit Ziggler with the bucket, then dragged ADR over him for the win. Ziggler hit Ricardo with the ZigZag to send the crowd home happy.

2. Dolph Ziggler
3. The Uso’s

Most Heat
