“PREVIOUSLY ON IMPACT WRESTLING” OPEN: Chris Sabin wins his X-Division Title (and the right to “Option C”) back, Magnus joins The Main Event Mafia.

TNA World Champion Bully Ray is shown backstage. He beckons the cameraman/interviewer over and launches into a tirade about Brooke Hogan’s new (real-life) engagement. He says he knows people move on but she moves when he wants her to move on. Ray walks off angry.

—–

We go to the Orleans Arena and pan the crowd as Mike Tenay hypes up the upcoming the show. The Aces & Eights theme kicks up, bringing out Bully Ray to the ring as the crowd is muffled out. Ray is joined by his fellow members Devon, Garett Bischoff, Wes Brisco, Mr. Anderson, D.O.C., & Knux. Ray stops to slap hands with Taz then makes fun of Tenay before heading into the ring. Ray grabs a mic and yells for the music to shut off. Ray says it’s time to take care of business, the first on the list being new X-Division Champion Chris Sabin. Ray calls Sabin “junior” and tells him not to trade the title in because he’s a “bad bad man who does bad things to little people”. Ray goes onto the second order of business: the voting in of a new Vice President (they do, not the “white trash” fans). He says it’ll happen later, then turns his attention next to The Main Event Mafia and their challenge for July 18th. Ray turns down their challenge and the crowd boos.

That immediately brings out The Main Event Mafia themselves, led by Kurt Angle and Sting. Samoa Joe and Magnus join them on the entrance stage in their wrestling gear. Angle has a mic (and ridiculous American flag sunglasses), and says that next week they are going eliminate every member of The Aces & Eights one by one en route to the World Title main event. Angle tells Ray he’s going to be all alone for the first time since winning the belt. Sting gets on the mic and tells Ray he’ll find out who the last member of The Main Event Mafia is later tonight. Their music hits and they exit, Ray pacing around the ring.

A shot of Chris Sabin is shown arriving backstage as Mike Tenay wonders aloud if he’ll actually cash in the belt or not. We then cut to Jeremy Borash and Christy Hemme on the entrance stage where Borash lays down the rules for Joker’s Wild. Hemme spins the tumbler and pulls out the first name: Jeff Hardy. Hardy makes his way out, smears green paint on his face, then heads to the ring. Borash announces his tag team partner: Joseph Park! Park comes out, shakes hands with Borash and Hemme, then excitedly makes his way to the ring as Tenay brings up the fact the two faced one another last week and are now partners this week. Borash then introduces their opponents one by one: AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Joe makes his way out to the Main Event Mafia theme as Tenay brings up his time limit draw with Styles a few weeks ago.

Match #1: Jeff Hardy & Joseph Park Vs. AJ Styles & Samoa Joe in a Joker’s Wild Match

Park and Styles start off for their respective makeshift teams. Park rushes in but Styles dodges. Park goes for another lockup but once again Styles dodges out of the way. Styles kicks Park in the gut and slides under him after his Irish whip is reversed. Styles follows up with a kick to the hamstring sending him crumpling to the canvas. Hardy tags in and they lock up. Styles applies a side headlock and wrenches in. Hardy whips Styles into the ropes and connects with a hip toss followed by an armdrag takedown and front sitout suplex for a 1-count. Styles rams Hardy into the corner and Joe tags himself in, taking Hardy all the way to the canvas with a series of jabs. Joe connects with a headbutt but gets a kick to the skull during a backdrop attempt. This only makes Joe angry and he takes Hardy down with a running back elbow for 2.

Joe sends Hardy into the corner and follows up with the splash/enziguri combo. Joe drags Hardy over to his side and tags out to Styles. Styles takes Hardy to the canvas with a snapmare and kicks him in the back. A “Hardy!” chant breaks out in the arena and he feeds off the energy to fight back. Hardy backs Styles into the corner with a series of strikes but Styles fights back and locks in the CALF KILLER. Park runs in and breaks up the submission after deciding which method to use (a kick). Park and Joe both tag in for their teams. Park ducks a clothesline and bodyblocks Joe to the mat a series of times. Styles kicks Park but eats a back bodydrop. Park points at Joe and connects with a corner splash. Park plays to the crowd a bit and Joe pushes him away. Styles connects with a springboard forearm, sending Park into Joe who locks on the REAR-NAKED CHOKE for the tapout victory.

A shot of Taryn Terrell warming up for tonight’s ladder match is shown before we head back to the entrance stage to find out who’s in the next Joker’s Wild match. Borash announces the participants: Jay Bradley and Hernandez Vs. Mr. Anderson and Magnus.

—–

Match #2: Jay Bradley & Hernandez Vs. Mr. Anderson & Magnus in a Joker’s Wild Match

Magnus and Hernandez start off for their respective teams. Magnus argues with his “partner” on the apron and Anderson asks for a tag. Magnus exits the ring and allows Anderson to start instead. Anderson circles Hernandez and trash talks him before tagging back out to Magnus. Magnus gets the crowd clapping as Bradley tags in himself. Bradley applies a side headlock and takes Magnus down with a shoulderblock. Magnus catches Bradley with a high knee and covers for 2. Bradley drives the knee into Magnus’ gut before tagging back out to Hernandez. Hernandez runs into a drop toehold and Magnus follows up with a wristlock. He tries to tag out to Anderson who refuses, allowing Bradley to attack him from behind. Bradley whips Magnus into the corner and Hernandez follows up with a corner splash for 2.

Hernandez tags Bradley in and works Magnus over. Magnus gets to his feet and fights back but Hernandez gets the blind tag and takes Magnus out with a slingshot shoulderblock for 2. Hernandez chokes Magnus on the second rope then applies a side headlock. Bradley tags in and connects with a right to the ribs. Bradley whips Magnus into the opposite corner and runs into a back elbow and boot during attempted corner splash attempts. Magnus takes Bradley out with a running boot to the skull and both men are down. Magnus goes to tag out but Anderson jumps off the apron to “regroup”. Hernandez tags in for his team and Magnus connects with back to back clotheslines. Bradley interferes and Magnus knocks him off the apron with a right hand. Magnus reverses an Irish whip and Bradley accidentally trips up Hernandez, allowing Magnus to roll him up for the 1…2…3!

Winners [via Pinfall]: Magnus & Mr. Anderson (3:54)

Austin Aries is backstage baring his soul about what happened last week to tag team partner/sort-of friend Bobby Roode. Roode says he’s got issues of his own as he’s 0-3 in the BFG Series. Their conversation are interrupted by Bad Influence who trash talk them and say they are the best tag team in the “BIZ-A-NESS”. They exit and Aries/Roode remark about how they talk too fast and how much they can’t stand them.

A shot of Gail Kim warming up is shown as Tenay/Taz hype the upcoming ladder match. We go to the entrance stage where Borash announces the final two teams: Christopher Daniels and Austin Aries Vs. Frankie Kazarian and Bobby Roode. Obviously none of the four men are happy about that.

—–

Match #3: Christopher Daniels & Austin Aries Vs. Frankie Kazarian & Bobby Roode in a Joker’s Wild Match

Daniels and Kazarian start off for their teams, much to each other’s surprise. They circle one another then start posing together until Aries tags in to end the lovefest. Kazarian takes Aries down with a drop toehold and applies a side headlock. Aries escapes and applies a wristlock but Kazarian escapes and applies another side headlock. Aries leapfrogs Kazarian and follows up with a Japanese armdrag takedown into an armbar. Kazarian counters with a head scissors and Aries escapes via headstand to connect with a dropkick. Daniels tags in as does Roode. Daniels grabs a side headlock then does a cartwheel over Roode before connecting with a right. An incensed Roode attacks Daniels immediately with a series of moves, ending with a kneedrop for 2.

Daniels tags out to Aries and they stare one another down. They lock up and Roode applies a waistlock. Aries reverses into one of his own. Roode escapes and slaps on a side headlock. Aries gets sent to the apron and knocks Roode down. He goes for a slingshot move but Kazarian sweeps the leg and he crashes face-first onto the apron. Kazarian continues the attack as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

Kazarian has Aries in a straight jacket submission as we come back from break. Aries gets to his feet and goes for the tag but Kazarian picks him up and drops him for 2. Kazarian picks Aries up and Aries reverses into a roll-up for 2. Aries follows up with a discus forearm to knock Kazarian down. Both men tag out, leaving Daniels and Roode to duke it out in the center of the ring. Daniels gets the upper hand with a kick but Roode counters with a spinebuster for the 1…2…kickout. Roode measures Daniels and goes for the Fisherman’s Suplex but Daniels blocks it and connects with a urinage. Aries tags himself in and hits Roode with a missile dropkick. Roode dodges the corner dropkick and Kazarian launches in with a springboard DDT for the 1…2…Daniels pulls Kazarian off to make the save. Bad Influence jaw a bit before Aries runs in and hits a corner dropkick on Kazarian. Daniels tags in and Kazarian rolls him up for the 1…2…3.

Winners [via Pinfall]: Bobby Roode & Frankie Kazarian (9:52)

POST-MATCH: Daniels and Kazarian argue for a bit then Daniels raises his hand in victory. Bad Influence are still super best friends, nobody panic.

Hulk Hogan catches up backstage with Brooke Hogan. He wants to talk about Bully Ray and she’s pretty much over it. Hulk asks her for the truth and Brooke says that the Knockouts stuff is what she’s concerned about right now and her personal life can wait until after the show. Hulk tells Brooke to take care of business…all of it.

The New V.P. of The Aces & Eights is…

Bully Ray holds court over The Aces & Eights. He says they’ve had a good year and now they need to choose a new VP after getting rid of the “problem”, D-Lo Brown. Ray says he’s not voting and leaves it up to everyone to vote in the new VP (between Mr. Anderson and D.O.C.). They go around the circle, and the vote is 3 to 3 leaving Knux with the deciding vote. Knux votes…ANDERSON. D.O.C. is in disbelief and stares Knux down as Ray announces Anderson as the new VP. Knux tells D.O.C. it’s not about him, it’s about the club. D.O.C. tells him to walk on.

—–

TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James makes her way down to sit ringside for the ladder match. Tenay is riding solo as Taz was busy voting for the VP at the Aces & Eights meting. Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell make their way out for the match in that order.
