We cut to the arena as The Main Event Mafia make their way out to open the show. Mike Tenay is joined once again on commentary by Jeremy Borash. Sting is first on the mic and says last week was the best night he’s ever had in pro wrestling because he got to watch Chris Sabin become the new World Champion. Kurt Angle is next up and tells The Aces & Eights that it’s “a matter of time” for The Aces & Eights then says they are out here not to fight, but to celebrate. Angle introduces new World Champion Chris Sabin out to the ring.

Sabin makes his way out, World Title over his shoulder. Sabin embraces Angle as the crowd chants his name. Sabin gets on the mic and thanks The Main Event Mafia for having his back last week. Sabin says now that he’s champion he’s walking around with a giant target on his back. Sabin says he’s about making history and challenges the winner of the Ultimate X match tonight to a “Champion Vs. Champion” match next week.

Bully Ray makes his way out to interrupt Sabin’s speech. He’s joined alongside a lawyer who looks like a mini-Kevin Nash. Ray stops on the ramp and introduces the man before handing him a mic. The lawyer says because of the injustice Ray suffered last week, they are going to file a lawsuit against Impact Wrestling. The lawyer says that if the belt isn’t handed back to Ray then he will “crush” Impact Wrestling (litigationally-speaking). The lawyer tells Sabin and the MEM that he fights and wins for his clients and he wins well. The lawyer tells them they have until the end of the show to bring the title back to Ray.

We go to the announce table where Tenay and Borash briefly mention Taz’s absence before launching into the hype for tonight’s show. The Ultimate X match is up first and Tenay narrates over clips of all three men who qualified last week winning their matches.

The Decision

Bully Ray makes his way out to the ring, mic in hand. Ray says he has been wronged and has suffered a major injustice. Ray rips on Chris Sabin for hitting him with a hammer and asks what kind of wrestler would sink that low to hit someone with a deadly object (har har). Ray says Sabin has no choice and he’ll sue everyone in TNA if he has to in order to right the wrong that has been bestowed upon him. Ray tells Sabin to do the right thing and asks him out here to give him the TNA World Title back.

Chris Sabin makes his way out to the ring to answer Bully Ray. Ray tries to talk but a “SABIN!” chant breaks his line of thinking. Ray tries again and says obviously Sabin is out here to do the right thing and he’s highly intimidated by Ray. Ray asks Sabin to hand him his World Heavyweight Title. Sabin says the real reason he’s out is because he wanted to see what kind of big fat crybaby Ray has become. Sabin says that he sat at home for 2 years and he didn’t complain like Ray has done, it just motivated him to get even better and now he’s the World Heavyweight Champion. Sabin tells Ray the only way he’ll get the World Title back is prying it out of his cold dead hands. Ray says he’ll get it back by suing him instead for getting hit with a hammer. Ray calls out Hulk Hogan to make Sabin give back the World Title.

Hulk Hogan makes his way out to the nWo Japan theme carrying a piece of paper and a mic. Hogan says he’s been with his lawyers all day looking at the contract he has in his hands. Hogan says he has a counteroffer for Ray’s demands and rips up the contract. Ray tells him he can’t do that. Hogan says he can do that because he’s the law in TNA. Hogan announces that Sabin will remain World Champion then says Ray does have a rematch clause. Hogan says Ray will get his rematch at “HardCORE Justice” on August 15th in a STEEL CAGE. The nWo Japan theme kicks back up as Tenay hypes up the match for three weeks from now. Sabin stares Ray down as we fade to logo.
