Fan Who Attacked Randy Orton Charged With Assault

– The fan who attacked Randy Orton during a South Africa house show has been charged with assault. The Wrestling Observer reports that Tshepo Sekhabi was charged with and pled guilty to assault charges.

WWE.com also reported on the news, noting, “The accused party pleaded guilty in court yesterday, August 1, 2013, and was charged and ordered to either pay a fine of 500 Rand or, alternatively, serve 30 days in jail. After acknowledging his wrongfulness, the accused individual was given a three-year suspended sentence, and is not permitted to attend WWE’s Live Events in Johannesburg, South Africa, this week.”

As previously reported, the company has publicly stated that this is not a storyline. Sekhabi ran into the ring following a match and gave Orton a low blow.
