After a “Viewer Discretion is Advised” opening, we cut live to Norfolk and pan the crowd as Mike Tenay hypes up the night’s show. Austin Aries makes his way out for the opening contest, a BFG Series ladder match for 20 points. The other three participants, Frankie Kazarian, AJ Styles, and Jeff Hardy make their way out next. Taz is back on commentary.

—–

Match #1: Jeff Hardy Vs. Austin Aries Vs. Frankie Kazarian Vs. AJ Styles in a LADDER MATCH for 20 points in the BFG Series

Kazarian immediately rushes out to the ramp and grabs a ladder, but the other three prevent him from bringing it into the ring. Kazarian throws it down and Aries attacks him on the ramp. Aries grabs the ladder and gets into a tug of war with Kazarian as Styles and Hardy fight in the ring. Aries lets go, sending Kazarian flying to the floor, and hits a top-rope axehandle as a follow-up. Hardy takes out Aries with a baseball slide then Styles takes out Hardy with a slingshot bodyblock after sending him out to the floor. Styles goes for the ladder but Kazarian shoves it into him, knocking him over. Kazarian sets up the ladder and starts climbing but Hardy attacks from behind. Hardy whips Kazarian into the ropes, and Kazarian immediately tries to climb again. Aries pulls him off then crotches him on the rungs. Aries pushes the ladder down, causing all sorts of hurt.

Aries works Hardy over in the corner, but Hardy fights back with a tilt-a-whirl headscirrors, sending Aries to the outside. Hardy gets the ladder in place but Styles pulls it away and stares him down. Styles kicks Hardy in the gut and escapes a Twist of Fate attempt. Styles sends Hardy sliding through the ropes and into the announce table. Styles pulls his shirt off then sets the ladder up. Kazarian catches him with a shoulderblock between the ropes and follows up with a slingshot DDT. Aries is on the apron next and snaps Kazarian’s neck against the top rope. Styles then pushes the ladder, cracking Kazarian in the skull. Aries sends Styles out to the floor via back bodydrop then sets the ladder up. Aries begins the ascent but Hardy cuts him off. Aries fights off all three men, then concentrates on Hardy’s left leg while Kazarian sends Styles head-first into the ring post.

Aries knocks Kazarian off the apron, kicks Hardy, then heads back up the ladder. Hardy pulls Aries off and sends him face-first into the turnbuckles. Hardy goes for a suplex but Aries blocks it and clubs him down. Aries fights off Kazarian and Styles, who attempt to enter the ring. Aries heads back up the ladder and Hardy climbs up the other side. The two fight up top as Kazarian and Styles head back to the apron. The ladder falls and all four men knock heads. Aries and company struggle to recover as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

Aries is heading back up the ladder as we return from break. Another ladder has been brought in as well. Kazarian pulls Aries off the ladder and whips him into the steel. Kazarian gets sent out once more and Aries baseball slides the ladder right into him. Styles attacks Aries from behind then hits a springboard flying forearm, sending Aries to the ramp. Styles starts making his way up the (now bent) ladder, but Aries grabs his legs to prevent the climb. Kazarian rolls in, grabs the other ladder, and rams it into Styles’ gut when Aries pulls him off. Kazarian takes everyone else out with the second ladder and sets it up. Kazarian and Styles climb one, Hardy and Aries on the other. Aries takes Hardy out with a powerbomb off the ladder, leaving Styles and Kazarian as the last two standing. Kazarian goes for a suplex but Styles fights off and grabs at the clipboard. Kazarian knocks Styles off, but Styles pushes the ladder down to prevent Kazarian winning.

Styles takes Kazarian out with a massive clothesline and sets the ladder up in the corner. Aries catches Styles with a corner dropkick then climbs up the bent ladder. Hardy climbs up the other side but gets taken out after a series of lefts. Styles grabs Aries from behind and goes for the Styles Clash but Kazarian takes them both out instead. Kazarian climbs the ladder once more, Hardy climbing the other side. They trade blows as Aries climbs to the top turnbuckle. Aries dropkicks the ladder, sending both men crashing down to the canvas. Aries repositions the ladder and climbs as Bobby Roode and Christopher Daniels walk out. Styles ascends the ladder, meeting Aries at the top. They both grab for the clipboard but Hardy pushes the ladder down, sending them crashing into the ring ropes. Hardy reverses an Irish whip, sending Kazarian into the ladder in the corner, then follows up with the TWIST OF FATE. Hardy removes his wifebeater, sets up the ladder, and starts climbing. Daniels distracts the ref as Roode pulls Hardy off. Hardy kicks Roode off and climbs again. Kazarian grabs Daniels’ appletini, splashes it in Hardy’s face, then grabs the clipboard for the win.

Winner: Frankie Kazarian (17:40); Kazarian now has 22 points in the BFG Series

A shot of The Main Event Mafia (sans Angle) are shown walking backstage. They address the crowd next.

—–

-Commercial Break-

—–

The mysterious interviewer catches up with TNA World Champion Chris Sabin to ask him his thoughts on the main event. Sabin says he doesn’t take Bully Ray lightly but he shouldn’t take him lightly either. Sabin says he beat him the first time, pinned him again last week, and will make 3-0 tonight.

—–

The Main Event Mafia…and Dixie Carter

Dixie Carter is in the ring with The Main Event Mafia (Sting, Magnus, Samoa Joe, & Rampage Jackson). Carter says Kurt Angle is checked into a rehab facility two weeks ago and his return date is unknown. She then sends him well-wishes until The Aces & Eights interrupt. Mr. Anderson leads the way, flanked by Devon, Knux, Garett Bischoff, and Wes Brisco. Anderson says The MEM now only have one week to come up with a replacement for their “buddy” and says he and The Aces & Eights are excited for next week. Anderson hypothetically brings up possibly ending each MEM members’ career by pinning them. Magnus speaks up for The MEM and says Anderson needs to be concerned about his immediate future because he’s going to walk up to him and punch him in the mouth. Magnus then says he thinks the crowd was telling Anderson that he sucks (leading to another “YOU SUCK!” chant). Magnus says they may have to find a fifth man and while it might be hard to find one in the back, they could probably recruit someone in the audience (the crowd roars in approval). Magnus continues and says one way or the other, one of the Aces & Eights members is going home with a pink slip. Anderson talks some more trash until the inevitable brawl breaks out. The Aces & Eights get the advantage due to the DAMNED NUMBERS GAMEEEEE and their theme kicks up as the beatdown continues. The Aces & Eights pose at the camera to end the segment.

A video from Earlier Today plays, showing Tito Ortiz entering the building. We then see a clip of ODB, Gail Kim, and Mickie James heading to the ring for a Hardcore match.

—–

-Commercial Break-

—–

Gail Kim and Knockouts Champ Mickie James are already in the ring as we come back from break. Their opponent, ODB, makes her way out next. James attempts to attack on the ramp but ODB takes her out as the bell rings.

—–

Match #2: ODB Vs. *TNA Knockouts Champion* Mickie James Vs. Gail Kim in a HARDCORE MATCH

ODB has the early advantage for the first minute, but Kim and James eventually team up and take her down. Kim chokes her with her knee as James grabs a chair from the outside. Kim grabs the chair away from James, and ODB kicks it into her gut. James takes ODB out with a neckbreaker then wedges the chair in between the top and middle turnbuckle. Kim and James whip ODB into the chair back-first then both attempt to cover (the ref counts it anyway). James and Kim shove each other, then James rolls her up for 2. Kim and James trade slaps, forearms, and kicks. James tosses Kim out to the floor. ODB starts taking it to James, but Kim sweeps the legs, pulls her out, and slams her chest-first onto the floor. Kim rolls ODB back in then looks under the ring for some plunder. James kicks her from behind and sends her flying face-first into the ring post.

James rolls in, grabs the kendo stick, and lightly hits ODB with it before choking her. ODB breaks out and grabs the kendo stick, lightly hitting James and Kim with it. ODB pulls her bra out from under her shirt and slings James to the mat with it. ODB chokes Kim with half of the bra strap then hangs her off the apron. James kicks ODB in the head from behind then throws her between the top and middle turnbuckle (she misses the steel). James digs under the ring as Kim locks ODB in a ring-post figure four. James runs over and pulls ODB’s arms back for added oomph. Kim breaks the hold and pushes James off. Kim and James go face to face inside the ring. ODB takes a swig from her flask and spits it in James’ face. ODB kicks James in the gut and picks her up in a fireman’s carry. Kim breaks it with a kendo stick but ODB ducks another shot and kicks her. ODB lays the chair on the canvas and picks Kim up, hitting a TKO on the chair for the 1…2…3.

Winner [via Pinfall]: ODB (6:46)

Sting yells about needing a replacement backstage to his MEM buddies. Sting says he needs to talk to Austin Aries right now because they need him. Sting exits as we go to commercial.

—–

-Commercial Break-

—–

Sting confronts Austin Aries in the locker room. Sting pitches Aries on joining The Main Event Mafia for next week’s match via Aries’ hatred of The Aces & Eights (even though Aries hired them at one point) then complements his jacket. Aries says it’s a lot to think about. Sting says they don’t have to be friends to have a common enemy and says the MEM needs Austin Aries. Before we get an answer we see Kazarian winning the opening ladder match from earlier.

—–

The mysterious interviewer catches up with Bobby Roode backstage. Roode says it’s time to change the landscape of the BFG Series and he has by aligning with Daniels and Kazarian. Roode hypes the tables match later and says that if he wins tonight he could end up in 2nd place. Roode then guarantees victory because it pays to be roode.

—–

Rampage Jackson, Magnus, and Samoa Joe talk about Aries potentially joining. Sting walks in and tells them that Aries turned them down. Jackson says there’s an option but he needs to addresses it in the ring right NOW. Oh no. No no no no. Nope. NOPE.

—–

-Commercial Break-

—–

Main Event Hype: A video plays recapping the feud between Chris Sabin and Bully Ray, including Sabin’s win for the belt plus Sabin pinning Ray in the tag team match from last week.

—–

Bully Ray is on the phone with his estranged wife. Ray says that since they’re on the same page tonight is about him and next week it’s about them. Ray says he’s going to win the title tonight and then he’s gonna go home and celebrate. He then says they’ll tell the world about their relationship next week. He concludes with “I love you too, BROOKE” and hangs up.

—–

Rampage Wants Tito…to Join The Main Event Mafia
Rampage Jackson makes his way out along with Samoa Joe. Jackson says it’s no secret that he’s new here but when he first showed up in TNA, MMA fans called him a sellout. Jackson said that he didn’t lose sleep over it, but he was sad that his fans didn’t understand him. Jackson said pro wrestling is why he got into fighting and he loves TNA. Jackson says that now he’s part of The Main Event Mafia, he feels like he belongs in TNA and as a part of a family. Jackson then says he didn’t come here to get his ass kicked by punks on a moped, and then says he’s gotta ask one of his old friends from way back. Jackson calls out Tito Ortiz.

Ortiz makes his way out to the ring and Joe holds the ropes for him to enter. A “TITO!” chant breaks out (really?). Jackson says everyone knows they’ll be battling on PPV for Bellator in November and he hypes that a bit. Jackson asks Ortiz to put November aside and asks him to help The Main Event Mafia take out The Aces & Eights next week. Jackson says they can take over wrestling the way they took over MMA. Ortiz puts over his own MMA accomplishments then asks Jackson again if he heard him right.

Before he can actually answer the damn question, Bully Ray makes his way out angrily to Ortiz’s music. Ray says that if he didn’t have a World Title match tonight he would beat the piss out of both Ortiz and Jackson, ruining the November 2nd Bellator PPV (cheap plug). Ray tells Jackson he already has his number then warns Ortiz that if he crosses him, Ray will make him his Huntington Beach bitch. Ortiz tries to attack Ray but Joe and Jackson hold him back. Ray mocks him and says he done with the both of them. The actual Aces & Eights theme kicks back up as Mr. Anderson makes his way out. The Tables Match is next.

—–

-Commercial Break-

—–

Bobby Roode makes his entrance after a shot of the BFG Series standings (Magnus got his entrance briefly televised in between commercials). Magnus attacks him right on the ramp as the bell rings.

—–

Match #3: Magnus Vs. Samoa Joe Vs. Mr. Anderson Vs. Bobby Roode in a TABLES MATCH for 20 Points in the BFG Series

Magnus and Roode fight in the ring as Joe and Anderson fight on the outside. Magnus chops Roode in the corner while Joe sends Anderson head-first into the guardrail. Magnus reverses a corner Irish whip but runs right into a boot. Roode goes to the outside and attacks both Anderson and Joe. Roode slides one of the tables into the ring then goes back to attacking Magnus in the corner. Roode slants the table in the corner but Joe comes in and powerslams Roode. Anderson attacks Joe from behind then picks him up for a rolling senton. Magnus rolls in and takes Anderson down with a big boot. Anderson fights back but eats a clothesline. Roode attacks Magnus from behind and chokes him in the corner. Tenay shills Bellator as Roode sets up the table. Joe and Magnus double-team Roode, ending in a back splash from the former. Joe and Magnus both grab their downed opponents and try to send them through a table but Anderson and Roode break out.

Roode works over Joe in one corner, Anderson beats down Magnus in the other. The fight spills to the outside between all four men. Joe seats Roode down and rings the bell against Roode’s yambag. Anderson attempts a Mic Check off the ramp to Magnus, but Magnus fights out and sets up for a power bomb. Anderson blocks it and drops to his knees connecting with a low blow. The fight continues, with Joe eventually attacking Anderson, hitting a running boot to the face to a seated Anderson ringside. Magnus and Roode spills back into the ring, the former setting up the table in the corner. Magnus picks Roode up but Roode escapes the running slam attempt and lays Magnus out with a spinebuster slam.

Anderson rolls Joe in as Magnus/Roode continue fighting in the corner. Roode turns to Anderson and they shove one another before agreeing to work together. However it fails and Joe clotheslines Roode. Joe ducks a clothesline attempt and hits a suicide dive onto Roode, who had rolled out to the ring. Anderson attempts a crossbody to Magnus but gets caught and slammed to the mat. Magnus sets the table up but Anderson hits him with a MIC CHECK. Anderson goes for the killing blow but Joe catches him from behind and chops him. Joe places Anderson on the top turnbuckle and picks him up for the MUSCLE BUSTER. Roode moves the table so Joe connects onto the canvas instead. Roode throws Joe out to the floor and resets the table, laying Magnus on top. Roode climbs to the top but gets crotched by Joe from the apron. Frankie Kazarian interferes, and distracts Joe. Christopher Daniels throws an Appletini into Magnus’ eyes and Roode powerbombs him through the table for the win!

Ray says they may not be his enemy but they also don’t seem like his ally. Ray stalks off as Anderson chews over those words.

Ray connects with another scoop slam and talks trash as Sabin gets back up. Sabin shoves Ray once again then they lock up. Ray hits a third slam, more slinging him to the mat than anything else. Ray goes for a corner slap but Sabin dodges and takes Ray down with back to back armdrags followed by a dropkick. Ray bails to the corner and Sabin hits back to back flying forearms. Sabin hits a hangtime dropkick and then gets flung into the cage. Sabin hangs on then jumps on Ray, covering for 2. Sabin tries to pick Ray up but he can’t do it so he dropkicks the legs out from under Ray instead. Sabin climbs the cage but Ray crotches him on the top rope. Ray picks Sabin up in a gorilla press then throws him right into the cage. Ray is in control as we go to commercial.

Ray immediately faceplants Sabin and covers again for the 1…2…kickout. Ray takes his kutte, whips Sabin with it, then tosses it away. Ray begins the climb on the cage but Sabin hits a forearm to the back. Sabin climbs to the top rope and connects with a series of right hands. Sabin kicks Ray’s ribs, and goes for a hurricanrana but Ray holds on. Eventually they crumble to the mat anyway and Ray covers up the flub by favoring his shoulder. Sabin signals for the HAIL SABIN but Ray fights back with a suplex. Ray goes to leave the cage but Sabin pulls him in. Sabin runs for the cage door but Ray grabs his foot to prevent the exit. Ray picks Sabin up, who kicks the ref in the face. Ray then accidentally splashes the ref against the cage. Sabin dropkicks Ray head-first into the cage then hits a top-rope missile dropkick.
