Championship Roll Call:
TNA WORLD CHAMPION: “Vacant”
TNA X-DIVISION CHAMPION: Chris Sabin
TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Bro-Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz)
TNA KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION: Gail Kim

The tournament to crown a new World Champion begins this week and it kicks off in style as Jeff Hardy takes on current X-Division Champion Chris Sabin in a “Full Metal Mayhem” match. Sting will also be on hand to deliver a “State of the Main Event Mafia” address, most likely directed at Magnus who acted like a sore winner at the conclusion of last week’s gauntlet battle royal. A new #1 contender to the Knockouts Title will also be decided in a triple threat match and former TNA Tag Team Champion Adam “Pacman” Jones will be on the show. No really.

Dixie Carter is backstage arm in arm with Adam “Pacman” Jones. Mr. Anderson stops her and says all he wants is a match against Bully Ray. Carter says she can make that happen but he has to do her a favor and bring it. Carter introduces Jones and Anderson then says they have business and they head off, Anderson walking in the other direction.

—–

A video plays recapping AJ Styles winning the World Title and walking out, followed by Carter’s announcement of a World Title tournament (complete with a “Wheel of Dixie”). Hype for Hardy Vs. Sabin’s “Full Metal Mayhem”. This is a way better opening video than normal.

—–

We go live to Cincinnati and pan the crowd as Mike Tenay welcomes the home audience. Tenay hypes the Knockouts #1 contender match as well Hardy/Sabin. We stop by ringside where Pacman Jones and DeQuin Evans are sitting.

The State of the Main Event Mafia Address

The Main Event Mafia theme hits, bringing out the group. All of them are dressed in suits except for Kurt Angle who’s in his wrestling gear (they’re going to let him wrestle after last week?). Sting says in June he started MEM for two reasons: 1) dethrone Bully Ray and 2) keep The Aces & Eights at bay. Sting congratulates them on a job well done, but it wasn’t without trials and tribulations. Sting announces that tonight The Main Event Mafia will be amicably disbanding. Sting says they all agreed to this as they’re all dealing with different things and getting pulled in different directions. Sting brings up last week’s gauntlet battle royal which Magnus won to get into the World Title tournament. Sting congratulates him for “seizing the moment” then tells Angle he knows he’ll become World Champion once again. Sting then says Samoa Joe will also seize the moment and become World Champion once again, and Magnus will seize the moment and become champ for the first time. They can’t all win the tournament, guy.

Sting says his next step is to take on those in the locker room who feel entitled, who want something for nothing and come in right on top without paying dues. Sting says he wasn’t taught that way in this business and has respect for pro wrestling (“MUCHO respect”), especially for those that came before him. Sting hugs Angle and Joe, saying he loves them, but doesn’t really tell Magnus that. Sting leaves the ring, handing the mic off to Joe.

Joe says hello to Cincinnati then tells the MEM it’s been a pleasure having their backs but he has been denied a World Title for far too long. Joe says the road to the championship unfortunately starts with Magnus and will end up having to go through Angle, and tells them while they’re friends he’s going to show them why they make far better enemies. Joe leaves the ring and stares them down while walking to the back.

Magnus is up next on the mic. Magnus appreciates Angle’s road to redemption because he’s the greatest of all-time. Magnus says that since he loves Angle like a brother, he wants to tell him to his face that when it comes to down to them in the World Title tournament he will mow him down. Magnus says he has only one thing on his mind: World Championship gold. Magnus says he intends to become World Champ for the first time then hands the mic off to Angle, exiting the ring.

Angle says his personal goal is to win the World Title tournament and be champ once again. Angle says he must do this to prove that he is Hall Of Fame worthy. He brings up his setback from last week, getting knocked out during his match, but he talked to his doctor this week and he had great news. This diatribe is interrupted by Bobby Roode. Roode yells for the music to shut off and calls what Angle is saying “ridiculous” and “pathetic”. Roode says he’s embarrassed for Angle for making excuse after excuse. Roode tells Angle to be a man and admit that he lost…TWICE…back to back…to the “IT Factor”. Roode tells Angle to admit it and move on like he’s moving on to the World Title tournament. Roode tells Angle that if he happens to get to the finals of the World Title tournament he’ll have no problem kicking his ass for a THIRD time. Angle says he has Austin Aries in the first round next week and expects to meet Roode in the finals; when that happens Roode’s ass is his. Angle says that maybe he doesn’t wanna wait until the finals and a brawl ensues. Officials and referees try to break them up but they go right back it as we go to commercial.

Kurt Angle is in the center of the ring, sitting in a chair. Angle calls Bobby Roode back out for more fighting. Bobby Roode makes his way back out, now in a wifebeater, and Angle meets him on the outside. The brawl continues and the officials and refs are back out. Finally the two are separated. Officials and refs lead Angle down the aisle as Roode goes nuts in the ring, chair in hand, being kept back by Al Snow and Simon Diamond. Angle breaks free and slides back into the ring, sweeping Roode’s legs and recommencing the brawl. Bad Influence, Magnus, and Samoa Joe also show up to calm down their respective friends. Things finally calm down and Angle’s music hits as Joe and Magnus lead him away.

—–

We go to the announce table where Tenay and Taz talk about what just happened before hyping Hardy/Sabin. We go ringside where Bad Influence argue with Pacman Jones and DeQuin Evans. They shove the football players, so they jump the rail and another brawl breaks out between the four. Jones and Evans slam Bad Influence and the crowd goes wild. Pacman’s theme hits as Bad Influence beg off and he and Evans pose in the ring. That popped the crowd huge.

—–

Shots of Jeff Hardy and Chris Sabin entering the arena earlier in the day are shown. Sabin’s cocky “whatever” look is the best. We then see the three women involved in the Knockouts #1 contender match headed to the ring. That match is next!

We catch up with Knux and Garett Bischoff backstage, quickly preventing any questions about the status of The Aces & Eights. Mr. Anderson comes up from behind and tells him he’s cool with them; all he wants is a match with Bully Ray. Anderson says stripping his colors off were the best thing they ever did to him. Anderson says it’s up to them but the current state of The Aces & Eights isn’t what they started. Mr. Anderson didn’t start anything but shh.

Velvet Sky makes her way out for the opening match. Her opponents, Brooke Tessmacher and ODB make their way out next to their own entrance music.

—–

Match #1: ODB Vs. Brooke Tessmacher Vs. Velvet Sky in a #1 CONTENDER’S MATCH

Tessmacher shakes her butt then Sky shows off her butt. KILL ME. ODB takes Tessmacher down with a chest bump then sends Sky into her in the corner. ODB connects with a double Bronco Buster then covers Sky for a 1-count. ODB picks Sky up for a slam but Tessmacher rolls her up for a 2-count. Tessmacher sends Sky shoulder-first into ODB’s midsection and out she goes. Tessmacher whips Sky into the ropes but Sky explodes out with back to back clotheslines followed by the back elbow and running neckbreaker. Sky covers but ODB breaks up the attempt. ODB picks Sky up and connects with a running powerslam. Tessmacher goes at ODB with forearms and hits a spinning neckbreaker. Tessmacher heads to the top turnbuckle and hits a flying elbowdrop. All three Knockouts are down as Gail Kim and Lei’D Tapa come out to watch the action up close and we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

All three ladies engage in a chop-off, then ODB floors Tessmacher with a forearm. ODB traps Tessmacher in an achilles lock. Sky stumbles over and applies an achilles lock on the other leg. They both release the hold and exchange chops and strikes. Sky hits a series of strikes but ODB takes her down. ODB slams Tessmacher on top of Sky, but soon enough the action spills outside. Tessmacher takes out ODB and Sky clotheslines Tessmacher. Sky rolls both of them back in covers both for 2-counts. Tessmacher catches Sky with a short-arm clothesline then heads back to the top. Tessmacher looks at Kim and Tapa, then takes out ODB and Sky with a flying crossbody. Kim and Tapa are now on the apron and Sky and Tessmacher go at it. Tessmacher runs into a boot and goes for the finish but Kim and Tapa intervene and the ref rings the bell.

Winner: No Contest? (9:53)

Post-Match: Kim and Tapa take out Sky and Tessmacher. Tapa and ODB face off. Tapa catches her with a Tongan Death Grip then takes ODB out with a Samoan Drop. Kim gets on the mic and says that she has no competition left in TNA and with Tapa by her side she is unstoppable. Kim says out of the kindest of her heart she’s issuing an open challenge for any female wrestler outside of TNA to challenge her; if they beat Kim she’ll give them a title match.

A video plays from AJ Styles, highlighting his title defense in Mexico. The message is paid for by the “Friends of AJ” super PAC.

Jeff Hardy is shown getting ready backstage for the main event. I’m digging this hype. Tenay and Taz narrate over stills from BOUND FOR GLORY 2012 where Hardy won the World Title in the main event.

—–

Knux and Garett Bischoff are talking about Anderson when Bully Ray walks in. Ray says he sees and hears everything involving the club including their meeting with Anderson. Bischoff said they were going to tell him but hadn’t seen him yet. Ray reiterates that he brought The Aces & Eights together for “us” not just him. Bischoff says it hasn’t been “us” in a long time. Knux says their votes haven’t counted since it’s been about Ray the entire time. Ray says they’re his decisions because he’s the President. Bischoff separates them and says they need to come together. Knux says he’s sick of it and they’re going to vote right now! Knux and Bischoff leave, Ray stopping the latter and telling him to make sure he votes the right way.

Dixie Carter is shown backstage yelling about the AJ Styles video that aired earlier. Carter says he doesn’t care about local affiliates or advertisers. Carter says he’s trying to humiliate her and TNA, and angrily tells the person on the phone to fix it or she will. Carter throws the phone down and in comes Ethan Carter III. Carter tells him that he’s done a great job but this week she wants him to pick his opponent. EC3 says he thought being her aunt would be easy but she’s given him two competitors to choose from. He says the quality of the two opponents may end his streak but Carter tells him to get it done because they’re the Carters and the world needs them.

—–

The Aces & Eights Vote

Knux and Garett Bischoff are in the ring. Bischoff says they’re here for a vote that will decide the future of The Aces & Eights. Bischoff invites Taz to the ring to join in and he does just that (that was a thrilling description, sorry). Bischoff then calls for Bully Ray to join them in the ring. Knux is pacing back and forth. Ray makes his way out and grabs the mic from Bischoff. Ray asks the crowd if they know who he is. Before he can finish Bischoff grabs the mic and says they all know who he is: the poison that has torn The Aces & Eights apart. Since day 1 it’s been all about Ray, not about the club itself. Bischoff says whether Ray likes it or not this vote is happening right now.

Mr. Anderson makes his way out to crash the vote. Anderson stays outside and tells Ray not to mind him as he’s just here to watch them implode. Bischoff casts his vote: he’s FINISHED. Bischoff takes off the kutte and drapes it over the ring post. Ray goes to Knux and tells him to do the right thing. Knux tells Ray he doesn’t need him, this club, or these colors. Knux takes the kutte off and places it on a different ring post.

Ray says they’re going to have a tie and a tie goes to the President. Ray votes to keep the club going (ummm you’re not allowed to quit bike gangs?) then says Taz is his best friend and does what his President wants him to do. Taz tells Ray to pump the breaks and tells him their club has been rolling through Ray’s agenda. Taz says they’re right and says he’s “done”, taking off the kutte. He tries to hand it to Ray but he doesn’t take it. Ray tells Taz to put his colors back on and Taz tells him “MAKE ME!”. Ray turns his cap backwards and the other two leave the ring, leaving the two best friends face to face. Ray tells Taz to fall in line before he falls on his face and asks once again for him to put his colors back on. Taz tells Ray to make him again and says he will destroy him. Taz tries to hand Ray the kutte again but nothing. Ray yells at Anderson, telling him it’s his fault and he’s ruined everything. Anderson says November 22nd, at Turning Point, he wants to fight Ray in a No-Disqualification Match. Ray says he has hated Anderson from day 1 and says he can’t believe that he forgot the number one rule of Stone Cold Steve Austin: don’t trust anyone.

Knux and Bischoff attack Anderson from behind, Knux laying him out with a big boot in the center of the ring. Ray whips Anderson with the chain some more then says “when you ride with The Aces & Eights, you never walk alone!”. WE WERE SO CLOSE. UGH.

Chris Sabin is shown backstage getting prepared for the main event.

—–

Tenay and Taz talk about the SWERVE~! from a few minutes ago but out comes Bobby Roode who calls out for Kurt Angle like a madman. The lights go out in the arena and instead out comes Ethan Carter III. Probably not the best time for him to make his way out when there’s A PSYCHO IN A WIFEBEATER stalking around. EC3 has new trunks and they are bedazzled like crazy. His opponent, Dewey Barnes, makes his way out for try #2.

—–

Match #2: Dewey Barnes Vs. Ethan Carter III

Carter obviously gets the advantage early, whipping him hard into the corner and following up with a clothesline. Carter hits a belly to back front-facing suplex then plays to the crowd’s boos. Carter kicks Barnes full force in the ribs then does it again, laughing all the way. Carter misses the third kick and Barnes fight back with right hands followed by a one-foot dropkick. Barnes goes into the corner mount and peppers him with strikes. Carter pushes him off but Barnes hits a neckbreaker and the crowd is all about it. Barnes heads to the top but Carter dodges the missile dropkick. Carter holds up the index finger and hits the ONE PERCENTER for the 1…2…3. Carter says “E…C…3!” while the ref counts. He’s the best.

Winner [via Pinfall]: Ethan Carter III (2:22)

Post-Match: Carter concludes like he usually does, saying he’s a Carter and the world needs them.

Joseph Park is backstage going through his leftover Halloween candy when Bad Influence confronts him. Christopher Daniels says it’s interesting that when Abyss is here Park isn’t and vice versa. Park says he doesn’t appreciate the nasty voicemails they left him and Bad Influence pour his Halloween candy on him. Eric Young interrupts and challenges them to a tag team match. Bad Influence accepts.

Bad Influence make their way out for the next match. Their opponents, Joseph Park & Eric Young, make their way out second after a shot of Daniels enjoying his Appletini.

—–

Match #3: Joseph Park & Eric Young Vs. Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)

Young and Daniels go to start off but Kazarian attacks Young from behind. Bad Influence go for a double clothesline but Young ducks and takes both out with clotheslines and dropkick. Park tags in and they hit Kazarian with a double back elbow. Park slams Kazarian then tags Young back in. Young takes Kazarian out to the floor with a headscissors off a headstand in the corner. Young hits Kazarian with a suicide dive then rolls him back in and heads to the top. Young connects with a flying crossbody for 2. Kazarian reverses a corner Irish whip and Young gets sent to the apron. After a Ric Flair strut Daniels kicks his legs out from under him and down crashes Young. Daniels tags in properly and Bad Influence hit their rapid-fire strike combo, ending in a Kazarian elbowdrop, and Daniels covers for 2.

Daniels chokes Young with his knee and goes for a suplex but Young lands on his feet and takes him out with one of his own. Both men are down. Park gets the hot tag but the ref gets distracted and doesn’t see it. Their argument results in some double team cheap shots by Bad Influence. Kazarian accidentally clotheslines Daniels and Young takes him out with a clothesline. Park tags in and gives both members of Bad Influence scoop slams for their troubles. Park splashes Daniels in the corner but misses the one on Kazarian. Park dodges a missile dropkick attempt and applies a Boston Crab. Daniels breaks it up with a clothesline. Young and Daniels brawl out to the floor, the latter sending the former into the ring steps. Daniels grabs the timekeeper’s hammer but the ref stops him. Daniels tosses it to distract him, allowing him to get the Appletini and throw it in Park’s face. Kazarian uses that to his advantage and rolls him up for the 1…2…3!

Winners [via Pinfall]: Bad Influence (5:35)

Kurt Angle comes out and calls out Bobby Roode. Alright this is starting to wear out its welcome. Austin Aries makes his way out instead and says he understands that Angle’s focus is on Roode. Aries says that next week, however, Angle is stepping in the ring with him not Roode. Aries says he respects Angle but if he doesn’t bring 100% laser focus next week he stands ZERO chance of beating “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived”. Dixie Carter appears on the ImpactTron and she spins the “Wheel of Dixie”. The buck stops at a “SUBMISSION MATCH”. Aries wishes Angle luck and exits. Bobby Roode runs out and the brawl once again commences until broken up.

—–

After some hype for next week’s submission match Jeff Hardy makes his way out for the main event of this week’s show…which begins after the commercial.

Chris Sabin makes his way out when we return from commercial.

—–

Main Event:: Jeff Hardy Vs. *TNA X-Division Champion* Chris Sabin in a FULL METAL MAYHEM MATCH – TNA World Heavyweight Title Tournament (Quarterfinals)

Sabin extends the hand but goes for a kick. Hardy blocks it and sends him into the corner. Sabin fights back and stomps Hardy down in the corner, choking him with his boot. Sabin poses, the crowd boos. Sabin whips Hardy into the corner but Hardy floats over into a headscissors. Sabin bails to the outside and eats a double mule kick to the mush. Hardy goes to the apron and levels Sabin with a clothesline. Sabin eventually regains control and brings a ladder into the ring. Sabin rams it into Hardy and lays it on the bottom rope. Sabin picks Hardy up and hits a spinning neckbreaker right on the ladder. Sabin covers but only gets 2.

Sabin leans the ladder in the corner and goes for a suplex but Hardy blocks it and goes for his own. Sabin blocks those and crawls under his legs. Sabin runs at Hardy who responds with a backdrop and Sabin goes back-first into the ladder. Hardy grabs a trashcan and smashes it against Sabin’s head so hard he himself falls over. Hardy covers for 2 then grabs a crutch. Hardy smashes Sabin in the ribs with it then goes outside to grab the table. Hardy leans the table into the corner and sets up for the release powerbomb but Sabin counters with a hurricanrana. Hardy goes for Whisper in the Wind but Sabin crotches him and smashes him in the back with a steel chair. Sabin brings him down in a tree of woe and pulls back by the holes in Hardy’s ears (ALL HAIL HEEL SABIN!!!!!!!!!).

Sabin hits a baseball slide, sending a steel chair into Hardy’s face. Sabin climbs up and stomps down on Hardy’s balls but Hardy grabs the chair and smacks him with it to break it up. Hardy hits Sabin in the face with the chair then sets it up. Hardy hits Sabin with Air Sabu and clotheslines him out to the floor. Hardy places Sabin on a table on the outside then climbs to the top rope. Hardy goes for a splash but Sabin dodges and he splinters the wood. Sabin tosses Hardy back in the ring and sets up another table. Sabin lays Hardy on top of it then heads to the top rope. Sabin goes for a splash and Hardy gets his knees up, which sends him through the table anyway but also hurts his opponent. That was actually pretty brilliant. They get back up and Hardy hits Sabin with the TWIST OF FATE. Hardy sets up the ladder in the corner then removes his shirt. Hawt. Hardy uses it to launch himself over, hitting the SWANTON and covering for the 1…2…3!

Winner [via Pinfall]: Jeff Hardy (roughly 11 minutes or so)

Post-Match: Medical personnel and Velvet Sky check on the fallen Sabin as Hardy celebrates and we cut to an episode of COPS.
