[non-news] Write For 411 Wrestling!
Posted by Larry Csonka on 12.10.2013
Find out how to join the team!
411 is looking for new writers for our Wrestling section! If you love Wrestling and love to write, we want you on our team. Your writing needs to be spelling and grammar checked, be easy to read, and be well organized. It takes time (often a lot of time) and work (often a lot of work). We take this very seriously and so should you. Don't apply unless you are serious and plan to stick around.
We also require images in columns, video if possible (embedding videos from YouTube or similar places would be fine), formatting to keep the column organized, (bold, italics, underlines, larger font for headers/titles/subtitles, colored font, and so on), avoiding "walls of text" by breaking up long columns with section headers, and, if possible, smaller sections to go with a main op-ed piece.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO TAKE ON A WEEKLY COMMITMENT TO COMPLETING YOUR COLUMN/REPORT/ARTICLE!!
Please include a sample of the work you would be offering to 411mania in the body of your email.
We're ONLY looking for…
LIVE TNA IMPACT Recapper: We need someone to do a weekly LIVE recap of the TNA IMPACT show. This will be a weekly job, where you recap the show, live as it happens, and constantly update the 411 main page. For a great example of a TNA IMPACT Report, check out Jonathan Sullivan's report.
TNA Impact Instant Analysis Writer : 411 is looking for someone to an Instant Analysis column for the TNA Impact program. The column looks at the show, segment by segment, breaking them down and grading them. Finally, you grade the show as a whole with a short write up at the end. The column should be completed 15-minutes after the show ends. For an example of the Instant Analysis column, check out, check out Chad Nevett's Instant Impact Analysis..
Opinion Columnists: We're looking for a few new columnists who can provide a unique, creative, fun to read weekly column about Wrestling. We strongly encourage your column to have a fixed weekly format or "gimmick" if possible. We don't want "walls of text," we want a unique format that includes images, videos if possible, headers that divide up the text, etc. An example of a wrestling "gimmick" column is Wrestling's 4R's. An example of a more straightforward wrestling column is The Piledriver Report.
Writing for 411 is a fun experience! If you want to be part of the team, please send a sample of your wrestling writing here.
