- Douglas Lebow, who was WWE's Vice President of Reality, Promotions and Special Projects, passed away suddenly yesterday at the age of forty-four. Lebow had been with the company since 1992 and was considered one of the top people in the company in terms of production. Lebow was well-liked backstage and when word began making its way around the company at today's Smackdown taping, the talent was reportedly quite saddened. Lebow was scheduled to work production for that taping.
Lebow helped the company create their own in-house ad agency, which designed and implemented their marketing campaigns. Lebow left WWE to create his own production company and worked with WWE in several projects before he was brought back in his VP role a few years ago.
On behalf of 411, our condolences to Mr. Lebow's friends and family.
