411’s IMPACT WRESTLING REPORT 4.17.14

  • Welcome!
  • Match times are not exact.
  • Highlights of Eric Young winning the world title last week.
  • Eric Young makes his way to the ring. Young says that this belt represents a lifetime of hard work. Everything he did since he was a kid (you deserve it chants) everything he has done has led him to being the world champion. He won the belt for him, but he will be a champion for the fans. This is his way of paying back the fans for 10-years of support. The time of paper champions is over, things will change, and they will have fun around here. He will defend the belt whenever and however he fans see fit. This will be a party…

Dixie Carter now makes her way out to the ring with a big old smile on her face. She says it was an emotional week, 12 hard fought years, and look at Young now, he’s the champion. And SHE is the person responsible for all of this. She always saw his potential. She discusses the “don’t fire Eric” deal, and his beard, she invented it all. She grabs his beard and says she made she made beards cool long before anyone else, and she should get royalty checks from the people that are ripping her off. Young says “listen toots,” MVP is in charge, and Dixie is not needed. Dixie says that Young represents her as president of TNA. He is now the hood ornament for Dixie’s 2014 Ferrari, and Young will go wherever Dixie takes TNA. He hopes she has puke bags, because being around her will make him sick. Dixie says he is being disrespectful and should hold her in high regard. Young says that he will flush her, because she is crap. Dixie says she is a professional while Young is a court jester for the mindless fans. She says he has to honor and obey. Young says he does that for no one, and he is his own man and always will be. He is not a paper champion, so she needs to stop making fun of him and the fans. He will then get the General Lee and run her and her paper champion over. Dixie says Young has to be a man of style and class. She will give him a makeover tonight. And if he says no, she will start on his little woman. Young says she gets one warning, just one.

Bully Ray now makes his way to the ring. Ray apologizes to Young, but he is sick and tired of hearing Dixie talk, dear god shut up already. He is here to take out the trash. Young is a role model for every wrestler who has been held down by a lose boss like Dixie. Ray says to be proud of Young who has been here from the bottom to become a world champion. Dixie is pissed that Ray double-crossed her. Ray says he took her money and spent in a strip club. Ray says not to piss him off, because he had her cornered and there was a table in the ring. If she knows wrestling history, you know what happens to people like her when tables are in the ring. This is Young’s time. He starts the “hey hey, goodbye” song. The crowd sings a long and Dixie bails. Ray then says that Young is a guy you can count on, a guy you can get behind and be proud of. He doesn’t endorse many people in the business because he doesn’t like a lot of people, but he respects young and starts an EY chant.

  • Promo for the April 27th Sacrifice PPV.

Sky tosses Rayne to the floor, and Love lays the boots to her. Sky to the floor and then slams Rayne to the steps. Back into the ring they go, and Sky covers for 2. • Young thanks Bully for what he said tonight. Ray is heading back to the strip club with the rest of Dixie’s money. Abyss appears and says that things are worse than ever. Abyss wants a title shot tonight, because he smells fear. Young accepts, and makes it a Monster’s Ball match. Abyss asks if Young is insane, and Young says he is crazy just like Abyss.

  • Spud looks for EC3. They discuss their match tonight, and EC3 asks if Spud is afraid of Willow. EC3 say snot to be afraid, because Spud was the mat that pushed Hardy off the ladder and sending him away for months. EC3 says tonight, Spud ends the career of Willow. Because Spud’s a lion! ROAR!
  • MVP is in the ring and puts over Young’s title victory from last week. He asks for a huge round of applause for Young. However, lost in the celebration was Samoa Joe. MVP was upset when he found out that Joe would not be available for last week’s show. They go way back, and Joe has his number, but hasn’t returned any calls. MVP then says he hears Joe is disgruntled, and wants to talk with him face to face.

Austin Aries makes his way to the ring and says he is disgruntled. MVP says he wasn’t discussing Aries, and Aries says maybe MVP has forgotten about him. Since Lockdown he has been on the sidelines. Aries doesn’t need motivation, but sitting at home has lit a fire under his ass. As for validation, MVP has never validated his worth to TNA. So he came here to participate and to get answers. MVP says he gave Aries a chance to be on his team. But Aries gave him a line of bull and used that chance to screw him. Aries says he was promised a bunch of dreams, and is now being punished. He asks if MVP’s feelings are hurt. MVP says contrary to Aries’ inflated ego, this is not about him, it is about the fans. So since Aries doesn’t need motivation, he will give him some participation. They talk trash, and Aries says they will do this next week. Aries says he is not stupid, and will not throw fists with a convicted felon. But next week he will wrestle and show that he is the greatest man that ever lived.

Carter may have injured him, but he did not end him. Soon they will be in the ring together, and soon Carter will realize why Angle is a devastation machine capable of breaking his arm, leg or ankle. Angle promises to take his time, to make Carter squeal, and then, this fight will not end until they take Carter out of the ring in a body bag. It’s real, it’s damn real!
