April 18, 2014 | Posted by
According a a fan report sent to WrestleZone, the Pittsburgh Pirates are big fans of WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan. The fan report says that during the Pirates’ Thursday game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Bryan’s theme music played as a “rallying video” to pump up the crowd when the Pirates pulled ahead.
They also had several “YES” chants, which is apparently not a coincidence as first baseman Gaby Sanchez is a big fan of wrestling (as mentioned in this tweet from Pirates cable affiliate Root Sports Pittsburgh:
BOOM! YES YES YES!! Gaby Sanchez, a big wrestling fan, hits a solo shot. 6-2 Bucs. -RI
